Locked-In Cash Plays

DraftKings Cash Picks / FanDuel Cash Picks

Borg – It’s gross but Devin Singletary will be in my cash lineup for the third week in a row. That is not a sentence I thought I would be typing in 2023 but when you consider his matchup, his salary, what he did last week, and how popular he will be in Double-Ups and H2Hs, what do you have to gain fading him in cash? That is the kind of question I ask when I look at a player when I’m not exactly jazzed about their talent. The Cardinals are 31st in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs and we saw last week he was fed with 30 carries as the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. Wild times.

Betz – For years, I had success in cash playing $2,800 tight ends on DraftKings. In the year 2023, however, we are playing $4,400 Trey McBride baby. Houston is an incredible matchup for opposing TEs. The Texans rank 30th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to TEs, and they’ve allowed the most receptions per game to the position. His 38.2% first-read target share since he became the full-time TE + matchup says we should stay in the flames.

DraftKings Core Plays

These are the 3-5 players at each position we have mixed in our cash player pool. Based on salaries, late news, and budget constraints, it is guaranteed you will not be able to fit in all of them. But their high floors and team-implied totals make them great plays for the week in both cash & GPPs.

These are simply in order of favorite core players. You obviously won’t be able to fit all in a cash lineup and there are salary tradeoffs for paying up at each position.

In cash, we consider Purdy and Kyler a coin flip. If you need the extra $300 savings, dropping down to the 49ers signal-caller who is a 12-point home favorite makes a ton of sense. However, notice that the pass-catchers that come along with these QBs will be quite popular so you are running into common builds and roster percentages in tournaments. The DET/CHI game presents another avenue to stack in GPPs while a Dallas onslaught build is in play after crushing for three weeks in a row.
