Each week we will review some of the content found in the DFS Pass and discuss some of our most confident plays heading into Sunday. A lot can change over the weekend, especially with injury news (See Betz’s Injury Blitz podcast) and roster percentages shifting who is in-or-out before roster lock time. Let’s review.

Week 10 Main Slate Podcast

Locked-In Cash Plays

DraftKings Cash Picks / FanDuel Cash Picks

Borg Joe Mixon is locked in my cash lineup at a way too cheap $6,200. He’s averaging 19.5 opportunities per game and the Texans are one of the worst run defenses in the league. Last week, Rachaad White was the RB1 against them and on the season, they’ve allowed the 4th most rushing TDs in the NFL. As a 6.5-point home favorite, it feels too easy this week plugging him in. He has 90(!) percent of the CIN rush attempts this year. That is insane.

Betz Ja’Marr Chase‘s Q tag looms large on this slate, but it sounds like he’s going to play, and I expect him to be effective. He already leads the NFL in targets per game and now Tee Higgins is out. With Cincy logging some insane pass rates in recent weeks, Chase should be peppered with targets in a good matchup against Houston. Of course, we need to monitor news ahead of lock. If we get negative news on Chase, we can easily drop down to Amon-Ra for a few hundred dollars cheaper.

Update 10:36 am ET – Chase is considered a game-time decision and per Ian Rapoport, Chase is “in pain and it’s unclear how functional he’ll be.” Obviously, this is pretty vague reporting, so that makes Chase a more risky cash play given the uncertainty. I like him better for GPPs if his roster percentage comes down with this news, but for cash, I’m fine moving off Chase for someone like Amon-Ra St. Brown or trying to use the money to get up to Christian McCaffrey.

DraftKings Core Plays

These are the 3-5 players at each position we have mixed in our cash player pool. Based on salaries, late news, and budget constraints, it is guaranteed you will not be able to fit in all of them. But their high floors and team-implied totals make them great plays for the week in both cash & GPPs.

These are simply in order of favorite core players. You obviously won’t be able to fit all in a cash lineup and there are salary tradeoffs for paying up at each position.

If you believed in Geno last week, apologies. The Seahawks offense was terrible but the matchup against WAS is too good to pass up at Geno’s salary. Geno vs. Sam Howell is a real toss-up but we favor the QB who is favored at home with the higher team implied total. Don’t sleep on DAL onslaught stacks with Dak. This slate is void of top-end QBs as the higher-tier guys (Lamar and Herbert) have terrible defensive matchups.
