Week 7 Waiver Wire (Fantasy Football)
After a whirlwind Week 6, it’s time to hit the waiver wire and gear up for Week 7. We have another round of injuries including Raheem Mostert, Miles Sanders, and Zach Ertz and we also have Miami, Balimore, Indianapolis, and Minnesota on their bye.
Remember to listen to the Fantasy Footballers Week 7 Waivers episode to get a full breakdown of these players, who you should target, and who you can drop to make room on your roster.
Some excellent companion pieces to read when making your waiver decisions are the Injury Report, Snap Count Observations, and Target Report, so make sure to check those out before making your claims.

As you can see in the percentages rostered, some big names like Tee Higgins, Mike Williams, and Laviska Shenault may already be rostered, but it’s worth checking the wire, just in case. Preston Williams for me is going to be a wild card with the news that Tua Tagovailoa will be taking over at QB after the bye this week.
Keelan Cole and Tim Patrick are worth a look if the bigger names are already rostered in your league. Cole has been productive with fellow WR D.J. Chark on the field and is carving out a role for himself in the offense. Despite not finding the end zone, he had an excellent game with nine targets, six receptions, and 143 yards. Jason disagrees and does not want the second fiddle in the Jaguars offense, however, you may be desperate.
Patrick has been a surprise in Denver. He had a second 100-yard plus game against the Patriots and has shown he can get it done regardless of who is at quarterback. He is rostered in under 20% leagues but faces a tough defense in Kansas City in Week 7.

JaMycal Hasty, 49ers (Rostered ESPN 1% / Yahoo 1%)
@NE, @SEA, GB
Week 6 vs LAR — 9/37/0 — 1 target, zero catches
Three names stand out the most to me here besides D’Andre Swift and Jerick McKinnon. Keep your eyes open for Justin Jackson, Boston Scott, and JaMycal Hasty. Jackson may already be rostered, but between him and Joshua Kelley, Jackson is the one seeing the volume while Kelley looks bad in the run game.
Scott has been disappointing so far but the Eagles are struggling with some devastating injuries. Corey Clement and rookie Jason Huntley are behind Scott in the depth chart.
An obscure name to consider if you’re desperate is the 49ers RB JaMycal Hasty. Raheem Mostert is injured and may miss several weeks. If McKinnon is unavailable and you really need a starter, Hasty may have to do. He rushed nine times for 37 yards but should have his role increased with Mostert out. Jeff Wilson Jr. was also inactive last week, so his status in Week 7 could have an impact on Hasty’s workload.
If you really want to despise fantasy football, you can pick up La’Mical Perine and be forced to watch the Jets implode for the rest of the season. He can be added because he has an opportunity for production, but I am staying far, far away from the Jets, especially the run game in 2020.
Don’t forget to check out possible insurance running backs who may also be available to stash.
Tony Pollard, Cowboys
Latavius Murray, Saints
Brian Hill, Falcons
Giovani Bernard, Bengals
Jamaal Williams, Packers

Dallas Goedert, Eagles (Rostered: ESPN 29% / Yahoo 41%)

Week 6 @TEN — 7 targets for 6/85/1
Dalton Schultz, Cowboys (Rostered: ESPN 42% / Yahoo 60%)
@WSH, @PHI. PIT, BYE
Week 6 vs ARI — 5 targets for 4/35/0
Jimmy Graham, Bears (Rostered: ESPN 63% / Yahoo 53%)
@LAR, NO, @TEN
Week 6 @CAR — 8 targets for 5/34/0
Trey Burton, Colts (Rostered: ESPN 6% / Yahoo 20%)
BYE, @DET, BAL, @TEN
Week 6 vs CIN — 5 targets for 4/58/1 — 1 yard rushing TD
Logan Thomas, Washington (Rostered: ESPN 8% / Yahoo 15%)

Week 6 @NYG — 4 targets for 3/42/1
Eric Ebron, Steelers (Rostered: ESPN 54% / Yahoo 53%)
@TEN, @BAL, @DAL
Week 6 vs CLE — 4 targets for 2/9/0
It’s another tough week for tight ends on the waiver wire, but if Dallas Goedert is available in your league- RUN do not walk to your phone or computer and put a claim in on him now. Zach Ertz will miss several weeks and QB Carson Wentz is in desperate need of reliable pass-catchers with practically his whole team is hurt. Word of caution… Goedert has to be activated off IR first, but is now eligible. He may not play this week, but he is worth getting on your roster just in case.
You can also take a shot on Darren Fells with Jordan Akins hurt and you can also look for Jimmy Graham. Even though Cole Kmet for scored for the Bears last week, Graham is the one who gets the red zone looks (usually) from Nick Foles.
Remember to listen to the Week 7 Waivers episode for Andy, Mike, and Jason’s D/ST and quarterback streams of the week. Good luck in Week 7!

Are these options ranked in order of preference? For example, since Higgins is listed at the top of the WR section should we assume that he is the top pickup at that position (and then Mike Williams would be the 2nd highest priority since he is next on the list etc etc.)?
