Week 12 Waiver Wire (Fantasy Football)
It’s Week 12 and the fantasy playoffs are only a few weeks away. For many of us, the trade deadline has come and gone so the waiver wire will be crucial moving forward. Don’t forget to look ahead to favorable matchups if you are able to stash some players before your league mates can make a claim.
As of this article date, Ravens RBs J.K. Dobbins and Mark Ingram are both on COVID reserve and are ineligible to play this Thursday. Vikings WR Adam Thielen was also placed on the COVID reserve list but may still have a shot to play this Sunday. We do not have any teams on a bye this week, but the Buccaneers and the Panthers will have the week off in Week 13 if you need to plan ahead.
Be sure to listen to the Week 12 Waiver Wire episode for Andy, Mike, and Jason’s take on each of these players, who you should target, and who you can drop to make room on your roster.

The options on the waiver wire for wide receivers are pretty interesting this week. First, check to see if either Deebo Samuel or Darius Slayton are available to grab. Samuel has a rough stretch, but it opens up significantly in Weeks 15 and 16 when they play Dallas and Arizona. Slayton has been up and down this season but has been getting it done in favorable matchups. The Giants have one of the easiest schedules Weeks 12 through 15 and both players are coming off of their bye week. Samuel and Slayton are 50% rostered or more, depending on your league.
Michael Pittman is another intriguing player to consider. The Colts’ stretch through Week 16 isn’t horrible, but it’s also not that great. Either way, Pittman may be on the verge of breaking out while the Colts are heating up and defenses are scheming around fellow WR T.Y. Hilton.
Is it finally time to start trusting Nelson Agholor? If you have any memory of his time with the Eagles, then this may feel nearly impossible. However, the Raiders seemed to have breathed new life into Agholor’s catching ability. It seems that Agholor has been fantasy productive in matchups that force Carr to look deep downfield against other high-flying offenses. The Raiders will play the Falcons this week and Agholor could be just the ticket to get you to the playoffs if you need big-play ability.

Brian Hill, Falcons
Jamaal Williams, Packers
Darrel Williams, Chiefs
Ouch. Predictably, the pickings are slim on the waiver wire for running backs. By far the best name on this list is Patriots RB Damien Harris, but he is likely rostered. His production may take a slight hit if Sony Michel can get back in the lineup, but he likely won’t make the RB obsolete.
If we take a deeper dive because we are dealing with a COVID reserve or an injured player, you could look at Salvon Ahmed, Wayne Gallman, or Phillip Lindsay.
Ahmed has emerged as the back to roster on the Dolphins but will soon compete with a returning Myles Gaskin after edging out Matt Breida and basically kicking Jordan Howard off the team. He is rostered in 42% of ESPN leagues and 64% of Yahoo leagues so he may be unavailable. Ahmed has a very favorable schedule for running backs seeing the Jets, Chiefs, and Raiders over the next five weeks.
Gallman is very interesting and is in a similar situation to Ahmed when it comes to competition returning. Unfortunately, his schedule is less than ideal for the rest of the season, while it’s incredibly juicy for the Giants WRs and QB. Game script and Devonta Freeman returning to the lineup may hurt Gallman’s burgeoning production down the stretch.
Finally, Lindsay has two upcoming matchups against the Chiefs and the Panthers in Weeks 13 and 14. He may be a stash if you have the room. Melvin Gordon got a bulk of the workload but ended up with a big fumble on his third touchdown attempt. However, the RB position is so stingy this time of year that you may be in a desperate situation.
TEs
Dallas Goedert, Eagles (Rostered: ESPN 59% / Yahoo 72%)
SEA (Mon), @GB — Fantasy Playoffs: NO, @ARI, @DAL
Week 11 @CLE — 6 targets for 5/77/1
Eric Ebron, Steelers (Rostered: ESPN 72% / Yahoo 78%)
BAL (Thanksgiving), WSH — Fantasy Playoffs: @BUF, @CIN, IND
Week 11 @JAX — 7 targets for 4/36/1
Main Waiver Wire Pickups
Jordan Reed, 49ers (Rostered: ESPN 12% / Yahoo 15%)
@LAR, BUF — Fantasy Playoffs: WSH, @DAL, @ARI
Week 11 Bye
Logan Thomas, Washington (Rostered: ESPN 29% / Yahoo 54%)
@DAL (Thanksgiving), @PIT — Fantasy Playoffs: @SF, SEA, CAR
Week 11 vs CIN — 5 targets for 2/6/0 — 1/2/0 rushing
Jimmy Graham, Bears (Rostered: ESPN 51% / Yahoo 38%)
@GB, DET — Fantasy Playoffs: HOU, @MIN, @JAX
Week 11 Bye
Dalton Schultz, Cowboys (Rostered: ESPN 24% / Yahoo 21%)
WSH (Thanksgiving), @BAL — Fantasy Playoffs: @CIN, SF, PHI
Week 11 @MIN — 6 targets for 4/25/1
Robert Tonyan, Packers (Rostered: ESPN 32% / Yahoo 46%)
CHI, PHI — Fantasy Playoffs: @DET, CAR, TEN
Week 11 @IND — 5 targets for 5/44/1
The window of opportunity may be closed for Dallas Goedert and Eric Ebron but it never hurts to double-check, just in case. Out of the two, I would prefer to have Goedert who came through last week in a loss against the Browns. Despite QB Carson Wentz’s woes, he still found a way to get into the end zone.
Other than that, the tight ends available do not excite me. If you are desperate, you could try Robert Tonyan who has a decent stretch of matchups, but he’s been hot and cold. Jordan Reed is also an option with Kittle out. He faces the Rams, which will be tough, but then the 49ers will play Buffalo (30th vs TE) and Washington (25th vs TE) in Weeks 13 and 14.
Make sure you listen to the Fantasy Footballers Waiver Wire episode for Andy, Mike, and Jason’s QB and DST streamers for Week 12.
Good luck in Week 12!
