Week 12 Fantasy Football Studs
Happy Cyber Monday to you all. Hopefully the screaming hot deals you get today will mirror the hot fantasy production you got from these players over the weekend. These Stud Muffins went absolutely ham in the Thanksgiving weekend games. The Footballers give these players their moment in the sun on the podcast each Monday.
Quarterbacks
Drew Brees vs LA
–310 passing yards, 4 TDs, 1 rushing TD
Drew Brees is automatic at home.
Colin Kaepernick @ MIA
–296 passing yards, 3 TDs, INT, 113 rushing yards
I can’t think of another QB that has this stark of a contrast between his fantasy value and real football value… Bortles maybe.
Kirk Cousins @ DAL
–449 passing yards, 3 TDs
Cousins bet big on himself this season. He’s winning that bet.
Trevor Siemian vs KC
–368 passing yards, 3 TDs
If you saw the expression on Siemian’s face on the sidelines, he was just as surprised as we are.
Ryan Tannehill vs SF
–285 passing yards, 3 TDs, 34 rushing yards
This Miami offense has shown flashes of greatness. Tannehill was hitting his big play WRs on routes down the field and even chipped in with his legs.
Ben Roethlisberger @ IND
–221 passing yards, 3 TDs
Minimum effort required. Big Ben only attempted 20 passes in this game.
Running Backs
Mark Ingram @ LA
–14 carries, 146 rushing yards, TD, 1 reception, 21 receiving yards, TD
Not a huge workload for Ingram one week removed from his concussion, but he didn’t need it.
LeSean McCoy vs JAX
–19 carries, 103 rushing yards, 2 TDs, 2 receptions, 31 receiving yards
McCoy was bottled up for most of the afternoon but he showed his speed on a 75-yard touchdown sprint. His thumb doesn’t seem to be an issue.
David Johnson @ ATL
–13 carries, 58 rushing yards, 8 receptions, 103 receiving yards, TD
This is just unfair. Atlanta managed to stop Johnson on the ground, and he just hurt them through the air.
Ezekiel Elliott vs WAS
–20 carries, 97 rushing yards, 2 TDs, 2 receptions 23 receiving yards
GG EZ.
Le’Veon Bell @ IND
-23 carries, 120 rushing yards, TD, 4 receptions, 22 receiving yards
Le’Veon Bell casually walks from the time he gets the ball until he gets into the hole, but then the magic happens.
Jonathan Stewart @ OAK
-17 carries, 96 rushing yards, 2 TDs
This is the ideal J-Stew stat line.
Devonta Freeman vs AZ
-16 carries, 60 rushing yards, 2 TDs, 2 receptions, 17 receiving yards
Owners may have been concerned over the return of Tevin Coleman and its effect on Freeman. Rest assured, Freeman will be just fine.
Wide Receivers
Antonio Brown @ IND
–5 receptions, 91 receiving yards, 3 TDs, 6 targets
Antonio Brown scored on half of his targets and it almost feels like he could’ve done more.
Tyreek Hill @ DEN
–9 receptions, 52 receiving yards, TD, 1 rushing TD, 1 kick return TD
Tyreek Hill might be the best weapon on the Chiefs team. I almost said “offensive weapon” but that would be selling this kid short. That special team score was sweet.
Michael Thomas @ LA
–9 receptions, 108 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 10 targets
Michael Thomas is good. Very good. I keep saying this but, Michael Thomas would be the Offensive Rookie of the Year if not for Ezekiel Elliott.
Mike Evans vs SEA
–8 receptions, 104 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 11 targets
12 minutes. Evans did most of this damage in the first 12 minutes of the game. I guess he just took the rest of the game off.
Emmanuel Sanders vs KC
-7 receptions, 162 receiving yards, TD, 10 targets
We know the talent is there for the Denver WRs, but I have a feeling many Sanders owners missed out on this fantasy explosion.
Odell Beckham Jr. @ CLE
–6 receptions, 96 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 11 targets
OBJ certainly has a flair for theatrics. He had his owners on the edge of their seats when he left with an apparent hand injury, only to return and do this.
Taylor Gabriel vs AZ
–4 receptions, 75 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 27 rushing yards
Taylor Gabriel is fast.
Marquess Wilson vs TEN
-8 receptions, 125 receiving yards, TD, 11 targets
Huh, that’s weird… Anyway, what’s for lunch?
Tight Ends
Jordan Reed @ DAL
-10 receptions, 95 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 11 targets
*Standing Ovation*
Tyler Eifert @ BAL
–5 receptions, 68 receiving yards, TD, 11 targets
The Cincinnati Tyler Eiferts came up short against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. If you haven’t seen it, go check out the final play of that game.
Kickers/Defense/Special Teams
Justin Tucker vs CIN
-4/4 FGs (52, 57, 54, 36), 1/1 PAT
New York Giants @ CLE
–13 PA, 3 FR, FR ret TD, 7 sacks
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs SEA
–3 PA, 1 FR, 6 sacks, 2 INTs
Honorable Mentions
Marcus Mariota @ CHI
–226 passing yards, 2 TDs, 46 rushing yards
Philip Rivers @ HOU
-242 passing yards, 3 TDs, INT
Jared “Tyler” Goff vs NO
–214 passing yards, 3 TDs, INT
Carlos Hyde @ MIA
–13 carries, 65 rushing yards, 5 receptions, 30 receiving yards, TD
Dontrelle Inman @ HOU
–6 receptions, 119 receiving yards, TD, 6 targets
Ted Ginn Jr. @ OAK
–4 receptions, 115 receiving yards, TD, 10 targets, 13 rushing yards
DeSean Jackson @ DAL
–4 receptions, 118 receiving yards, TD, 8 targets
Quincy Enunwa vs NE
–5 receptions, 109 receiving yards, TD, 5 targets
Travis Kelce @ DEN
–8 receptions, 101 receiving yards, 5 targets
