NFL Week 16 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)
Well, last week was certainly a chilly one for a lot of games. If your fantasy team survived the cold and made it into the next round, congratulations! The fortunate thing with Mother Nature is that while she can be cruel sometimes, it generally doesn’t last for too long. Now, if that isn’t good foreshadowing for the week ahead, I don’t know what would be. Best of luck to you in the next round!
Buckle up, it’s Week 16 time, baby!
Saturday Games
Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Commanders
LOW impact. It’s shaping up to be an overall pleasant day in D.C. on Saturday. Expect mostly sunny skies, light winds, and temperatures in the mid-40s. No weather issues here, start all your usual players.
Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears
MEDIUM impact. Winds and cold temperatures will be the biggest impact throughout the game. The good news is that it won’t be the coldest game either team has played so far this year, so they should be fairly used to it. Wind speeds will be sustained in the mid-teens, with game time temps hovering right around freezing. The resulting wind chill will be around the low-20s. Again, there will likely be impacts to playing time and to the kicking game, but nothing too crazy. So don’t bench anyone you would normally start.
Sunday Early Afternoon Games
Buffalo Bills @ Cleveland Browns
MEDIUM impact. Winds will be the biggest factor throughout the game. Sustained wind will be in the mid-teens with gusts up to the high-20s. The gusts will be fairly inconsistent, so don’t go benching Josh Allen or anything. However, if you have a comparable kicker that is in a dome, that would be worth a flex. No rain or snow expected, with temperatures in the low-40s.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Tennessee Titans
LOW impact. Mostly clear skies, temperatures in the low-50s, and a light wind. Doesn’t get much better for a Sunday of football. No issues here, start your studs. Let’s go ahead and throw the “GOOD WEATHER GAME OF THE WEEK” award to the fine city of Nashville.
Minnesota Vikings @ New York Giants
LOW impact. Mostly clear skies, winds in the low-teens, and temperatures in the mid-40s. We will take those games during the fantasy playoffs. No issues with weather here, start all your guys.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers
LOW impact. Another game with very nice conditions for Sunday. Clear skies, game time temperatures in the low-60s, and light winds. Weather is not a factor here, start who you have and watch the fireworks!
Cincinnati Bengals @ Miami Dolphins
LOW impact. Game time temperatures in the low-80s(!), sunny skies, and winds in the single digits. I’m starting to wish I lived in Miami during the winter. Anyways, no problems here. Run out all your players.
Sunday Late Afternoon Games
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Denver Broncos
LOW impact. Are we being spoiled with these nice weather games? Probably, but I will take it after last week. Mostly sunny skies, temperatures in the mid-50s, light winds. Nary an issue to be found here, start all your usual players.
Sunday Night Game
New England Patriots @ Baltimore Ravens
MEDIUM impact. Cold temperatures, along with the associated wind chill, will be the biggest factor in this game. Game time temps will be hovering in the high-20s, with wind speeds in the high single digits, resulting in a wind chill in the low-20s. Not insanely cold, but cold enough to cause impacts to players. Don’t bench your studs, but if you have players who you could potentially flex to that are playing in better weather, it may be worth it.
Best of luck to your team in the week ahead!
