NFL Week 16 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)
We had another eventful weekend last week with several games getting impacted by the weather. Good news? This weekend is shaping up to be much better. Surely a Christmas miracle! However, we do still have a few games that will definitely be impacted and a few games that are worth keeping an eye on. Be ready to flex as needed and let’s get that playoff W.
Remember to read Matt DiSorbo’s Whether Weather Really Matters article along with this article to give you all the advantages you need this time of year!
As always – games in domes are NOT listed!
Saturday Game
Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers
LOW impact. There will be some rain during the game, but nothing too impactful. Winds will be in the single digits throughout the game with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Start all your players as you normally would.
Sunday Early Afternoon Games
Seattle Seahawks @ Tennessee Titans
LOW impact. Keep an eye on the winds in this game, expecting sustained winds in the high single digits with some occasional gusts in the mid-teens. Not expecting those winds to stick around very long, but if they do it could cause some issues in the passing game. No significant rain chances and the high temp will be in the mid-60s.
Washington Commanders @ New York Jets
LOW impact. There will be some rain showers around the area, but they’ll be fairly light so not expecting significant impacts. Winds will be in the single digits and the high temperature will be in the mid-40s, start any players you normally would in this game.
Green Bay Packers @ Carolina Panthers
LOW impact. It’s shaping up to be a nice day for football in Charlotte with no chance of rain, light wind, and a high temp in the mid-60s. Start all your normal guys from this game.
Sunday Afternoon Games
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
LOW impact. We get a pretty nice game for the battle of Florida with no real chance of rain and a high temp in the mid-70s. The winds will be in the high single digits gusting up to the upper teens, which is a little high, but the gusts will be intermittent, so I’m not expecting any real impacts from them.
Arizona Cardinals @ Chicago Bears
LOW impact. It’ll be raining quite a bit in Chicago in the next few days, but it’ll stop before game time. For the game itself, expect some cool and slightly windy conditions but nothing too crazy. The temperature will be in the low-50s with winds in the high single digits gusting to the mid-teens.
Dallas Cowboys @ Miami Dolphins
LOW impact. Another overall nice game. No rain expected and temperatures will be in the mid-70s. Winds will be a little high with sustained speeds in the low-teens and gusts up in the mid-teens but they shouldn’t cause too many issues with the passing game.
Sunday Night Games
New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos
MEDIUM impact. Expect a cold game in Denver on Sunday night. There’s a small chance of snow showers during the game (around 20%) but even if we do have some the snow will be very light. Winds will be in the high single digits. I’m sure both teams are used to playing in the cold but this will be a brisk one. Game time temps will be in the low-20s but when combined with the windchill will feel like low-teens.
Monday Games
Las Vegas Raiders @ Kansas City Chiefs
HIGH impact. Welcome to the bad weather game of the week. As of now, there’s a 70% chance of rain and rain/snow mix during the game. Additionally, winds will be sustained in the mid-teens gusting up to the mid-20s. Temps will be in the mid- to lower-30s throughout the game. Your best bet is to keep on checking this game before Monday and be ready to flex if conditions don’t improve. At the very least have an alternative for WR, QB, and kicker if needed. Merry Christmas!
New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles
LOW impact. No rain is expected, although there is expected to be some patchy fog throughout the area. The good news is that it doesn’t look like it’ll be too extensive throughout the area. Light winds and temperatures in the low-40s.
Baltimore Ravens @ San Francisco 49ers
LOW impact. There’s a small chance of rain, around 20%, but I don’t expect that to impact the game at all. Winds will be light and temperatures will be in the low-50s. Good to go with all the usual players.
Remember that weather, just like football, is a dynamic thing and can change! Good luck!
