NFL Week 15 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)
It was a pretty wet weekend across a lot of games last week, however, that didn’t stop some players from balling out. I shouldn’t have been surprised that Zach Wilson wouldn’t miss a chance to impress Mother Nature. Just remember what we talked about way back in Week 1, weather is one factor of many to consider when selecting your lineup. It’s another busy weather weekend and, oh yeah, it’s PLAYOFF TIME baby! Congrats if you got there, let’s get you a championship!
Remember to read Matt DiSorbo’s Whether Weather Really Matters article along with this article to give you all the advantages you need this time of year!
As always – games in domes are NOT listed!
Saturday Game
Minnesota Vikings @ Cincinnati Bengals
LOW impact. There’s a small chance of rain, but not enough to worry about. Winds will be in the single digits with a high temp in the mid-50s. Start your players with confidence.
Sunday Early Afternoon Games
Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers
HIGH impact. As of now, there’s a 100% chance of some pretty heavy rain in the Charlotte area. Additionally, the winds will be high as well with sustained winds in the mid-teens gusting to the mid to upper-20s. If you are looking at starting any WR or QB in this game, look elsewhere. RBs will likely be leaned on heavily throughout the game.
Chicago Bears @ Cleveland Browns
MEDIUM impact. Another wet and cooler day in Cleveland is in store for Sunday. There is an 80% chance of rain with sustained winds in the low-teens. It’s shaping up to be a more rainy version of weather last week. Expect more impacts to QBs and WRs with teams likely favoring the running game and shorter passes.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Green Bay Packers
LOW impact. No significant chance of rain, the winds will be in the single digits with an occasional gust up to the mid-teens but not expecting those winds to impact the game. High temperature will be in the low-40s.
Houston Texans @ Tennesse Titans
LOW impact. There’s a 40% chance of rain showers, but they look to be fairly light. Winds will be in the single digits with high temperature in the mid-50s. Keep an eye on the rain, but all the players should be good to go.
New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins
HIGH impact. There will be quite a bit of rain on Saturday and into Sunday, but it’ll be mostly gone by game time with only a few lingering showers. However, the winds are shaping up to have a pretty big impact on the game, with sustained winds in the high-teens/low-20s with gusts into the low-30s. Your QBs, WRs, and kickers will all be impacted.
Kansas City Chiefs @ New England Patriots
LOW impact. There will be some light rain and winds throughout the game, with rain increasing slightly in the second half but it’s not shaping up to be anything too impactful. High temp in the mid-50s.
Sunday Afternoon Games
Dallas Cowboys @ Buffalo Bills
MEDIUM impact. Make sure to double-check conditions Sunday morning, the weather system that is causing a lot of the impacts here is a complex one and forecasts will be fluctuating. Right now, we are seeing a 50% chance of rain with sustained winds in the mid-teens gusting up to the upper-20s. These conditions will definitely have an impact on your WRs and QBs (and kickers!). High temp will be in the mid-50s.
Sunday Night Game
Baltimore Ravens @ Jacksonville Jaguars
MEDIUM impact. There will be quite a bit of rain before the game, however it looks like most of it will have moved out of the area leaving us with a 20% chance of rain during game time. We’ll be dealing with winds, however, expect sustained winds in the high-teens gusting to the high-20s. Those gusts will be an issue, but with those being fairly inconsistent, you can still lean on your usual players during the game.
Monday Night Game
Philadelphia Eagles @ Seattle Seahawks
MEDIUM impact. It will be a wet night in Seattle with a 100% chance of rain. Not seeing a ton of wind, so that should help the passing game. The temperature during game time will be in the mid-40s.
Remember that weather, just like football, is a dynamic thing and can change! Good luck!
