Catches two targets in win

Thornton caught both of his targets for 22 yards in the Chiefs' 24-10 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

Thornton saw less attention from Patrick Mahomes than in the Chiefs' Week 2 overtime win over the Colts. Thornton saw 45 percent of the team's offensive snaps in the contest, down from 59 percent and 68 percent in the prior weeks. The lack of downfield targets and attention to the No. 3 wide receiver could be a result of a strong run game that ran out the clock against a trailing opponent.
