Joining Seattle's practice squad

Peterson was signed to the Seahawks' practice squad Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Peterson had a tryout with the Seahawks on Wednesday, and he apparently made enough of an impression to warrant a longer look on the practice squad. The 36-year-old appeared in three games for the Titans and had 27 carries for 82 yards with four catches for eight yards and one total touchdown before being cut last week. Seattle has been looking for answers in the backfield with Chris Carson (neck) out for the season, and Alex Collins has been handling the early-down work with minimal success (3.9 YPC).
