Fantasy Reaction: Stefon Diggs Signs 4-Year Extension with Buffalo (Fantasy Football)
On Wednesday morning, Stefon Diggs signed a 4-year extension with the Buffalo Bills worth $104 million that includes $70 million guaranteed, keeping him in Buffalo for the next six seasons. From a dynasty perspective, this ties Diggs to one of fantasy football’s highest ceiling offenses and QBs in Josh Allen, bolstering him in the top 12 of dynasty WR rankings for the next couple of seasons. Diggs, now 28.4 years old, enters 2022 with four straight, 1000-yard seasons including fantasy finishes of WR3 and WR7 in half PPR leagues in his first two seasons in Buffalo. As a result, Diggs has earned an ‘A’ in our consistency metric, which is an exclusive research tool in the Ultimate Draft Kit.
From a redraft perspective, Diggs is a no brainer top 12 pick given the target volume available in Buffalo’s pass happy offense. Over the course of the last two years, the Bills have ranked top three in neutral situation pass rate, and Diggs has has been the focal point of the passing attack, ranking top five in targets in both 2020 and 2021. With youngster Gabriel Davis, veteran slot WR Jamison Crowder and situational depth piece Isaiah McKenzie as the only viable “competition” for targets on the WR depth chart, Diggs is a safe bet to finish among the league leaders in targets once again in 2022. With the volume, talent and top tier QB play, Diggs is one of few WRs capable of finishing asĀ the overall WR1 in fantasy if he finds the right side of variance in the TD department.

Good take on this, do you think that Diggs can finish in the top 1-2 of WRs this year? Adams to LV could regress because of Carr as QB, and Tyreek Hill could regress because of Tua as QB. Diggs could push Cooper Kupp as WR 1.
Absolutely possible given that he’s tied to one of the NFL’s best offenses. If he can score double digit TDs like he did a year ago and continues to see the targets, it’s in the range of outcomes for sure!
