Brian says:

@Steve, we still play h2h because of the weekly fun involved in that. However, when it comes to determining playoff teams/seeding and draft order we use the all-play record because of that very real randomness you mention. So yes, all-play is better for fairness, but those weekly matchups add an irreplaceable and fun component to the game, so we found a hybrid system that works well.

Steve says:

guys head to head leagues are so overdone……years ago we started playing everyone every week…takes some of the randomness out of the leagues…..we also play all 18 weeks (17 past years)….still do traditional playoffs for 10% of the pot………we tried straight wins loses but have adopted a scoring format that rewards the top guys and being in the top half do in both 10 and 12 team leagues……much better format and best teams win.
12 team: 2 pt head to head win…..then 15, 13, 12, 11, 10, 8, 7, 6, 4, 2, 1, 0

10 Team: 2 pt head to head win…..then 13, 11, 10, 8, 7, 5, 4, 2, 1, 0

A little extra tracking but by far best format I have been a part of.
