Wild Card Weekend GPP Plays on DraftKings

Alex Smith vs. Tennessee $6,300
Alex Smith is the sneaky play that makes a ton of sense at QB this week. Smith finished the regular season ranked second among the eight Wild Card QBs in passing yards per game (269.5) and ranks second in TD passes per game (1.7). Plus, the Chiefs offense as a whole ranked fifth in the league in total offense (yards per game) (375.4). And Smith gets to play at home against a Titans defense that ranks ninth worst in pass DVOA and that allowed the eighth most passing yards on the season.

Matt Ryan at Los Angeles Rams $6,100
While the Falcons offense unsurprisingly took a step back this season, Matt Ryan still finished the regular season ranked third among the eight Wild Card QBs in passing yards per game (255.9) and the Falcons offense as a whole still finished eighth in total offense (364.8). And now Ryan gets to play in my favorite fantasy game of the week. Likely to be no higher than the fourth highest owned QB on the slate, Ryan makes sense in tournaments.
