GPP: Russell Wilson vs. San Francisco
This choice isn’t going to feel good considering all the juicy options in this tier. Yet, we need to make uncomfortable decisions in GPPs to put us in a position to finish in first and win a ton of money. Wilson is a great GPP play because he’ll be lower owned than he should be after a slow start to the season. Yet, Wilson will be operating in a much more favorable and friendly environment in Week 2 going from Lambeau Field to his home stadium in Seattle. Look for Wilson to take advantage of a 49ers defense that ranked fifth worst in pass DVOA and also tied for the tenth fewest sacks last season. Why is that relevant? That means despite Seattle’s atrocious OL, Russell Wilson will still produce in Week 2 because San Francisco doesn’t have the necessary personnel to exploit that weakness.

    GPP stands for guaranteed prize pool. GPPs are tournaments where about the top 20% or so win money and those at the top of leaderboard win a lot of money. Cash is where about half the field wins money but only doubles their entry fee or comes close to it.
