Week 12 DFS Injury Impact
Injuries and players missing time for other reasons are always a big deal in fantasy football but even more so in DFS where one player’s issues can completely alter an entire game and the next man up mantra becomes vital due to the salary cap nature of DFS. Thus, it’s important to stay on top of all the injury and suspension news before locking in your DFS lineups.
Editor’s note: DFS Pass buyers and #FootClan members will receive a “Gameday Alerts” email, one hour before the main kickoff on Sunday and Ben will be on Periscope at 11:30 AM ET.
Here are the most relevant players on the main slate (If you’re looking for injury news for the primetime slate, check out the primetime slate article) in danger of missing time or returning to action in Week 12:
Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals – 1:00pm ET
Questionable for the Bengals: A.J. Green
Upgrade if Green sits: Tyler Boyd
Green sounds on the wrong side of questionable. Regardless, Tyler Boyd is in a good spot this week at home against a Bengals defense that ranks 31st in passing yards allowed per game and 18th in Pass DVOA. Boyd has seen solid volume all year as he ranks tied for 21st in targets per game (8.1). If Green sits, look for those targets to increase.
San Francisco 49ers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 1:00pm ET
OUT for the Buccaneers: O.J. Howard
Upgrade: Cameron Brate
O.J. Howard surprisingly has been placed on Injured Reserve. That means Brate should be elevated to the starting TE in Tampa Bay as he has been in the past. This is a good spot for Brate who gets to play at home against a 49ers defense that ranks 15th in passing yards allowed per game and 21st in Pass DVOA.
