Injuries and players missing time for other reasons are always a big deal in fantasy football but even more so in DFS where one player’s issues can completely alter an entire game and the next man up mantra becomes vital due to the salary cap nature of DFS. Thus, it’s important to stay on top of all the injury and suspension news before locking in your DFS lineups.

Editor’s note: DFS Pass buyers and #FootClan members will receive a “Gameday Alerts” email, one hour before the main kickoff on Sunday and Ben will be on Periscope at 11:30 AM ET.

Here are the most relevant players on the main slate (If you’re looking for injury news for the primetime slate, check out the primetime slate article) in danger of missing time or returning to action in Week 10:

New Orleans Saints @ Cincinnati Bengals – 1:00pm ET

OUT for the Saints: Ted Ginn, Cameron Meredith, and Dez Bryant
Upgrade: Michael Thomas, Tre’Quan Smith, and Ben Watson
I was excited for Dez Bryant’s arrival in New Orleans but wasn’t exactly sure how it would affect the target distribution for the rest of the pass-catchers. Not only do we have to worry about that now that he is out for the season, but Ted Ginn is already on Injured Reserve and Cameron Meredith just joined him. Michael Thomas, Tre’Quan Smith, and Ben Watson are all solid DFS plays in a fantastic matchup against a Bengals defense that ranks dead last in passing yards allowed per game and 16th in Pass DVOA.

OUT for the Bengals: A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, Tyler Kroft, and Josh Malone
Upgrade: Tyler Boyd, John Ross, Alex Erickson, and C.J. Uzomah
Upgrade: Saints D/ST
The Bengals offense has been depleted with injuries this season and Week 10 will be no different. The Saints boast a strong run defense and with limited weapons around him, there is no guarantee Andy Dalton will be able to expose the Saints’ weak pass defense. I’m in on the Saints as a strong tournament D/ST option. However, there are still some interesting options that come from the Bengals as well. Tyler Boyd ranks tied for 21st in targets per game (8.3) and should benefit the most from the absence of A.J. Green. John Ross is a tournament option as well against a Saints defense that ranks 31st in passing yards allowed per game and 29th in Pass DVOA.

OUT for the Bengals: Darqueze Dennard, Vontaze Burfict, and Nick Vigil
Upgrade: Saints Offense
The Bengals defense stinks. They rank dead last in total yards per game allowed and will be without some key contributors this week. That’s scary since they’ll be facing a Saints team that ranks seventh in yards per game and second in points per game. Upgrade all players in the Saints offense, especially Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas.

Questionable for the Bengals: Giovani Bernard
Upgrade if Bernard plays: Giovani Bernard
With so many injuries on the Bengals offense, it’s worth nothing Gio may return this week. If he does, he’s a sneaky candidate to catch eight plus passes in a game the Bengals will have to throw in early and often.
