NFL DFS WR vs. CB Matchups to Exploit in Week 14 (Fantasy Football)
There’s never a better time to integrate specific WR/CB matchups into your DFS process. While this is only a piece of the puzzle, this tool allows you to better value ceiling-type plays for elite WRs and who can run circles around their opponent.
I break up this WR/CB article into a couple of categories: Alpha WRs, Slot Mavens, Discount Target Specials, and Full-On Fades. The goal is to go from the top-tier stars to move down to bargain WRs with excellent matchups. As always, make sure you use the tools found in the DFS Pass such as the Value Comparison and Buzz Report to discern which WR would be best in cash and tournament lineup builds.
Alpha WRs
While I’ve been singing the praises of Travis Kelce all week, Tyreek Hill could potentially break a slate once again. He tore up the Raiders in Week 10 going 7/83/2. But it’s the type of targets that Hill sees that makes him far-and-away the best GPP WR on the slate. Hill’s end-zone target share (16%) towers over Kelce (2%) and with Mahomes throwing at the 4th highest rate inside the 10, there is reason to go all-in. A gentle reminder that Hill can’t really be pegged anywhere on the field by defenses but he does line up in the slot more than 50 percent of the time. Raiders slot CB Nate Hobbs is allowing an 84 percent catch rate and Las Vegas as a whole is allowing the 6th highest expected points per pass attempt. At $8,500, you’re hoping for 30+ points which is well within reason.
