NFL DFS First Look at Salaries & Matchups for Conference Championships (Fantasy Football)
Every week the First Look article gives you a taste of the slate and some of the more intriguing salaries that DraftKings and FanDuel release. The goal is to identify early-week cash game considerations, as well as potential tournament plays before we piece together the stacking options. I share some of these insights on the Fantasy Footballers DFS & Betting Podcast if you want further commentary on some of the salary standouts.
Check back later in the week when Matthew Betz and I share our official DraftKings and FanDuel picks for cash and GPPs exclusively in the DFS Pass.
Here are the games for this week’s main slate* including team-implied totals (TIP) for each matchup.
Quarterbacks
- Lamar Jackson went to town last week with four total TDs and 100+ rushing yards on the ground. However, with Baker Mayfield‘s performance at $1,900 cheaper, he did have some competition in optimal lineups. He is priced up compared to his other QBs on both sites and the Chiefs ranked 7th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points on the year. Lamar needs to run for 50+ on the ground and a score to make up for the lack of passing volume. The floor is high but so is the opportunity cost for rostering him despite being a 3.5-point home favorite.
