NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks: Week 7 (Fantasy Football)
Building winning GPP lineups is tough by definition. However, there are a few key things to look for when filling out your roster. First and foremost is ceiling. We want players with the potential to score the most points. Next is leverage. We want the players who can take advantage of what the rest of the field is doing. Finally, we have to build a lineup that tells a winning story through game script and stacking.
Every week in this article, I will highlight my favorite FanDuel GPP picks at each position for the main slate of games. It won’t be an exhaustive list, but it aims to give you a starting point and a way of thinking as you build your tournament lineups. But don’t stop here. As Sunday kickoff approaches, make sure to utilize all of the other articles and tools from the amazing team that contributes to the DFS Pass.
Let’s dive into Week 7.
Quarterbacks
Note: As always, check out the QBs in the Cash Picks article. They are always worthy of mixing into your large field player pool, while keeping an eye on roster percentages.
Jared Goff vs. GB – $8,000
The Lions-Packers matchup is the most appealing game environment on the slate and projects as one of the season’s best. Both QBs are in play for tournaments, but with Jordan Love covered in the Cash Picks article and projected to be the slate’s most-rostered QB by the optimizer, let’s look at Goff. The Lions have the highest implied team total on the slate at 28 points, but the field is betting on much of that production coming through Jahmyr Gibbs, who projects to be heavily rostered despite being the most expensive player on the slate. Goff also offers leverage against Gibbs-heavy lineups if Detroit’s TDs come through the passing game. I will discuss stacking options and bring-backs later in the article, but Goff makes a lot of sense as a starting point for tournament lineups this week.
