NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks: Week 4 (Fantasy Football)
Hey there FootClan! With Betz on location to monitor snow accumulation in Vermont, I’m picking up a DFS article this week. In this edition, I’ll feature my favorite players for tournament lineups on FanDuel. For more on GPP strategy and the mechanics of it, make sure you listen to our DFS GPP Overview episode. On the Fantasy Footballers DFS Podcast, Borg and a special guest, Jason “Big Shimmy” Moore himself, will dive into a couple of these, but this article is intended for DFS Pass subscribers to get the full lay of the land.
Quarterbacks
Selecting QBs for GPPs is about finding stacking partners that also give you leverage on the field. Remember QB roster percentages are relatively flat. You can always go back to guys that recently underperformed and hope their roster percentages come in lower. Nevertheless, refer to the FanDuel cash game picks and then add these guys to the mix of players who are contrarian.
Kyler Murray @ CAR- $7,800
Murray has attempted the second-most passes in the league this season, exactly the kind of volume you want from your tournament quarterback. It’s his rush attempts that have been the problem. He’s only averaging 4.0 rushes per game, significantly lower than his career average of 6.7. That number is bound to self-correct eventually. When it does, he could be back to scoring 30+ fantasy points like he did three times last season. The matchup with the Panthers doesn’t look ideal considering they’ve allowed the 12th fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks, but they haven’t exactly faced a murderer’s row at the position in Jacoby Brissett, Daniel Jones, and Jameis Winston. It isn’t hard to envision Murray finishing as the top quarterback on the slate, and he’s my favorite in GPPs this week.
