NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks for Week 3 (Fantasy Football)
Each week I’ll highlight my favorite GPP picks that I have some confidence heading into the weekend to put into my player pools. For more on GPP strategy and the mechanics of it, make sure you listen to our DFS GPP Overview episode. On the Fantasy Footballers DFS Podcast, Betz and myself will dive into a couple of these but this article is intended for DFS Pass subscribers to get the full lay of the land.
Quarterbacks
Selecting QBs for GPPs is about finding stacking partners that also give you leverage on the field. Remember QB roster percentages are relatively flat. Week3 gives you the chance to go back to guys that underperformed two weeks in a row and hopefully their roster percentages come in lower. Nevertheless, refer to the FanDuel cash game picks and then add these guys in the mix of players who are contrarian.
Patrick Mahomes vs LAC- $8,700
You’ll see a common theme in the GPP section: play the Chiefs. Often, people try to get cute in tournaments rostering cheaper QBs and trying to find other stacks that hit. What if the Chiefs are simply the best play this week and you decided to pay up for them and stack away? You’ll need 70+ points from Mahomes + Hill or Kelce to truly get there and payoff their salary. But when you start adding up the points, it’s not hard envisioning that happening.
