NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Picks: Week 8 (Fantasy Football)
For the purposes of this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have a solid range of outcomes at reduced roster percentage, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our lineup as well. For my full breakdown on DraftKings for Week 8 cash games, be sure to check out my picks here.
When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our all new Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings in order to identify plays who have a solid projection yet may be undervalued relative to the field. In order to compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays in order to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. For more on how to use roster percentages and build strong GPP lineups, be sure to check out this episode of the DFS Podcast.
Matthew Stafford $7,600
Stafford’s price tag is getting up there, which should keep his roster percentage down this week as Josh Allen is just $500 more and Jalen Hurts is $400 cheaper. He’ll get overlooked on this slate despite this dream matchup with Houston. With Darrell Henderson projecting as one of the best RB plays on the slate, he’ll carry heavy roster percentage, so Stafford stacks with Cooper Kupp and one of his ancillary pass catchers should provide huge leverage on the chalky Henderson. If the TDs come through the air, Stafford stacks could pay off in a huge way.
Tom Brady $7,400
Priced as the QB3 on DraftKings, you’ll have to pay up for Brady, but we’ve seen the Bucs come out and throw at the highest rate in football, and he leads the position in passing yards this year. He catches a Saints defense here that is overrated based on the QBs they’ve played recently. Since Week 2, the Saints have faced Sam Darnold, Mac Jones, Daniel Jones, Taylor Heinicke, and Geno Smith. I’m fading the difficult matchup on paper, especially in tournaments. I love stacking Brady with two of his pass catchers this week.
