NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Picks: Week 7 (Fantasy Football)
For the purposes of this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have paths to a ceiling outcome at reduced roster percentage, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our lineup as well. For my full breakdown on DraftKings for Week 7 cash games, be sure to check out my DraftKings cash picks here.
When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings in order to identify plays that have a solid projection yet may be undervalued by the field. In order to compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays in order to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. For more on how to use roster percentages and build strong GPP lineups, be sure to check out this episode of the DFS Podcast.
*Note: Plays listed below are in order of salary, NOT necessarily ranked by preferred plays
Patrick Mahomes $7,800
Mahomes is a guy I want to take shots on whenever the field is not going to play him. He’s priced as the QB2 on the slate, so in order to “get there” for DFS purposes, he’ll have to be stellar, but that’s what we’ve come to expect from Mahomes. His career splits are actually better on the road, where he averages 314.8 yards and 2.7 TD per game. Now, he catches a 49ers defense that’s incredibly banged up that just allowed 9.2 yards per attempt to Marcus Mariota a week ago. In two games against Shanahan’s 49ers, Mahomes is averaging a healthy 7.5 yards per attempt with a TD-to-INT ratio of 5:2. Given that the Niners rank #1 in rush defense DVOA, this matchup sets up well for what Kansas City wants to do, which is throw the football. They’re #2 in the NFL in pass rate over expectation. I’ll be playing at least one Mahomes-Kelce stack on Sunday.
