NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Picks Week 2 (Fantasy Football)

For this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have upside for large field GPPs at reduced roster percentages, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our GPP lineups as well. In fact, most of the best tournament lineups feature a combination of high-rostered and lower-rostered plays. When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings to identify plays that have a solid projection yet may be undervalued by the field. To compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. Quarterbacks

Joe Burrow $6,600 vs JAX

Will the real Joe Burrow, please stand up? Week 1 proved that playing in the preseason didn’t help shake the team’s early September struggles. He projects for 22.6 DK points at about 9% pOwn. Cincinnati sits with a hefty 26 TIP in a 48.5-point total as a home favorite. Week 1 looked rough on the surface, but don’t let the affect heuristic make you leave him out of your player pool (we KNOW Joe Burrow is excellent even if last week makes us feel queasy about him). He boasts a multi-year track record of elite accuracy and aggressive intermediate throws that can elevate two receivers into top-12 outcomes.

Week 1: 14 of 23, 113 yards at only 4.9 yards per attempt. Pressure drove down his usually lofty pass numbers with three sacks and only 2.2 seconds of pocket time. Expect a return to his baseline, with cleaner pockets against JAX. Triple-stacking with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, or going onslaught and adding Chase Brown, can turbo-charge your lineup if the Bengals smash while the field worries over the previous week’s box score. Chase and Higgins are both excellent cash plays, making this a rising-tide-lifts-all-ships GPP situation.
