NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Picks: Week 16 (Fantasy Football)
For the purposes of this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have upside for large field GPPs at reduced roster percentages, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our GPP lineups as well. In fact, most of the best tournament lineups feature some combination of high rostered plays as well as lower rostered plays. For my full breakdown on DraftKings for Week 16 cash games, be sure to check out my DraftKings cash picks here.
When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings in order to identify plays who have a solid projection yet may be undervalued by the field. In order to compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays in order to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. Quarterbacks
Joe Burrow $7,500 vs. CLE
$7,500 is an expensive tag for a pure pocket passer, but Burrow has just been so good this year, and when he hits, we know where the ball is going (Chase + Tee), so the stacks here are super clean. The Browns have struggled defensively in 2024, ranking bottom 10 in passer rating allowed, YPA given up and schedule-adjusted points given up to opposing QBs. On this main slate, only the Bills have a higher implied team total than Cincy.
Kyler Murray $6,100 @ CAR
Kyler might be one of the most frustrating guys to try to figure out in fantasy and DFS. The moment you count on him, he disappears, and when you least expect it, he pops off for a 20 point outing. Last week, he was mega chalk as the cash game QB, but this week, he’ll be far less popular with most people paying down for Penix or A Rich. The matchup is obviously fantastic against a Panthers defense that’s among the worst in football, and with James Conner shaping up as one of, if not the, most popular RB play on the slate, Kyler stacks look like a nice way to gain some leverage.
