NFL DFS DraftKings Cash Picks: Week 6 (Fantasy Football)
NFL DFS cash games are all about building a high floor lineup that can win in head to heads, 50/50s, and double-ups. Each week I’ll highlight my favorite cash game picks that I have some confidence heading into the weekend to put into my player pools. Quarterback
Patrick Mahomes $8,300
If you want to pay up this week at QB, Mahomes looks like one of the safest spend options on the slate. The Chiefs head to Washington in a dream matchup against Washington’s Swiss cheese secondary with Kansas City with Vegas projecting the Chiefs to score more points than any offense in Week 6. Only the Lions rank worse in PFF’s coverage grade on the season, and now we get Mahomes off of a loss playing on the road where he ironically has better splits compared to playing at home. The Chiefs rank #1 in pass success rate while the Football Team is 4th worst in the same metric on the defensive side of the ball.
Lamar Jackson $7,400
Fresh off a career game Monday night in a comeback win over the Colts, Lamar Jackson is now firmly in the MVP conversation and he’ll have a chance to add to his resume on Sunday at home against the Chargers. After losing all of their starting running backs to injuries, the team has shifted its identity as they’re running a more balanced offense while leaning on Lamar. Jackson is 5th in passing yards, 5th in yards per attempt and holds an 8:3 TD-to-INT ratio heading into Week 6. On top of the huge step forward in Jackson’s passing stats, we’re also seeing Lamar continue to pad the stats with his legs. He’s 8th in the entire NFL in rushing yards, leading all signal callers in production via the ground game. The matchup on paper is difficult against this Chargers pass defense, but Lamar’s unique rushing ability gives him one of the safest floors at the QB position this week.
