Locked-In Cash Plays
DraftKings Cash Picks / FanDuel Cash Picks
Borg – Call it stubborn optimism or a belief that Derrick Henry is ready to get moving in the right direction. Every RB gets there against Carolina… even Tony Pollard scored last week! The Panthers rank 31st in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs and as we detailed on the Podcast, this price point is too low for what he can do on the slate. In Titans’ wins this year, he’s averaging 23 rush attempts and over 100 yards per game. Other RBs have better pass-catching profiles but none strike fear into the hearts of their opponents quite like the Yeti.
Betz – This year, I’ve found myself spending down at QB in cash games, but this feels like a slate to spend up on one of the top options. I’ll be playing Jalen Hurts in cash in the slate’s top projected game environment. The Eagles have one of the slate’s highest team totals, and Hurts is coming off a season-high 11 designed rush attempts. Plus, we know the Tush Push is always in play for the Eagles’ top goal line back
DraftKings Core Plays
These are the 3-5 players at each position we have mixed in our cash player pool. Based on salaries, late news, and budget constraints, it is guaranteed you will not be able to fit in all of them. But their high floors and team-implied totals make them great plays for the week in both cash & GPPs.
These are simply in order of favorite core players. You obviously won’t be able to fit all in a cash lineup and there are salary tradeoffs for paying up at each position.
| DraftKings-QB | BORG | BETZ |
| 1 | Josh Allen | Jalen Hurts |
| 2 | Baker Mayfield | Josh Allen |
| 3 | Jalen Hurts | Baker Mayfield |
| 4 | Kyler Murray | Trevor Lawrence |
| 5 | Trevor Lawrence | Gardner Minshew |
This is a “two roads diverged in a yellow wood” situation. Robert Frost would be proud of that reference as you can either pay down (Minshew or Baker) or pay up (Allen or Hurts) this week. While paying down is something that has worked a majority of the time in cash this year, the elites are priced up for a reason.
