It’s Week 13 and hopefully by now you’ve secured a fantasy playoff berth and are well on your way to winning a #FootClanTitle. Whether this is the case or not FanDuel is always a new season each week and chance to cash in on a great line-up and have plenty of fun in the process. It’s Wednesday which means the salary costs for each player this week has been and set and it’s time for my fellow writers and I to scour the list to try to find you some low-cost GPP gems. The kinds of picks that save you enough salary cap to fill out your roster with some of the more pricey options while helping to keep you under the salary cap. They are also somewhat long shots to finish at the top of their positions “hence the price”, however we believe they have what it takes this week to pull it off and help set your GPP line-ups apart from the rest. So without further ado, who are the players we are targeting this week and why.

QB Trevor Siemian @ JAC, $7100

brandon“If passing for 368 passing yards and 3 touchdowns against a very game Kansas City Defense wasn’t impressive, then you should think highly about playing Trevor Siemian against another stingy defense in the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Broncos need these road wins in order to catch up to the Raiders and win the division so they don’t have to play in the Wild Card game. You still might need to monitor his status for Sunday as he missed Wednesday’s practice due to a foot sprain. He’s currently in a boot, but if he can shed it by Sunday he’s a great play. If not look for rookie Paxton Lynch as a dark horse and true dart throw.”

WR Marvin Jones Jr. @NO, $5600

“This is a pure matchup play in a game that could easily turn into a fantasy bonanza with an over/under of 53. Despite the major let down Jones has been since Week 3, he actually tied for his season high of 11 targets last week against Minnesota. The Saints allow the sixth-most passing yards (271) per game in the league and this should be a shootout. With his price seriously depressed and the public maintaining a bad taste in their mouth, this seems like the perfect week to jump on board with Jones in a GPP.”

QB Matt Barkley vs SF, $6000

Nick“Despite a horrendous day from his receivers, Barkley still finished with a decent fantasy line in his first NFL Start on Sunday. He threw 3 TDs and 2 INTs on his way to a 312 passing yard performance. He was the 11th highest scoring QB priced at the $6000 QB minimum. He takes on the San Francisco 49ers who have given up at least 19 fantasy points to opposing QBs in 5 of their last 6 games. -Believe it or not, the 49ers offense is rolling and I think there will be more points in this game than people think. You can’t beat his price and I wouldn’t hesitate to throw him out there this weekend.”

RB Dion Lewis vs LA, $5000

TravisGood news everyone. I’ve finally discovered a way to successfully predict the usage and production of New England RBs. Just kidding, that’s impossible. Anytime you’re banking on one of these guys you have to be willing to admit that it’s a dart throw. That said, Dion Lewis has seen his usage climb over the past two weeks and his skills in the passing game on a high-powered offense are very appealing as they face an LA team this just got shredded by the Saints through the air. It’s hard to find players with this much TD upside for $5000, which makes this contrarian play very interesting for GPP.
