The Footballers writing staff has come together to bring you another list of guaranteed prize pool picks for Week 14. They are intended to be high reward albeit somewhat risky plays for large tournaments where finding a diamond in the rough can be the difference between finishing high vs middle of the pack. We know these picks are out there, we see them each week. They are top 10 finishers at their position’s that most didn’t see coming. We realize at these prices that we’re essentially throwing darts, but I assure you we’re not doing so with blindfolds. So check ’em out, read the explanations and see if we can convince you to take a chance on our guy this week to round out your GPP FanDuel roster.
RB Mike Gillislee vs PIT, $5,300
“If you are looking for a great dart throw that can also be a true touchdown vulture, consider Mike Gillislee as he was able to put in two TDs last week against the Raiders, even with LeSean McCoy doing all the running and catching out of the backfield. This trend keeps happening. So for a quick production and a good way to outplay your opponents in tournaments, this is a very sneaky play!”
-Brandon Sanders, @brandontsanders
TE Jermaine Gresham @MIA, $4500
“Gresham is a minimum price punt that could definitely help FanDuelers this week. Since Week 9, Gresham has averaged 5.8 targets per game, a top 7 total for TEs in that span. His yardage totals are never going to be through the roof but this week is a great opportunity. These Dolphins linebackers and safeties were exposed and gashed in the middle of the field by Dennis Pitta last week for 2 TDs. They’ve allowed 7 TDs to TEs and the 9th most fantasy points to opposing TEs on the year. With Carson Palmer leading the league at 41.8 passing attempts per game, there’s enough volume to go around and red zone opportunities for Gresham to cash in this weekend.”

RB Tevin Coleman @LA, $5,400
“Tevin Coleman is priced like he wasn’t a top RB option earlier in the season before he missed some time due to injury. Sunday will mark his third game back and he should now be fully integrated back into the offense. Last week was the first time all season Coleman didn’t catch a pass. I expect that to change this week. Coleman is an explosive dual-threat back who will get you points in the rushing and passing games and he faces an average Rams defense.”
-Ben Cummins, @BenCumminsFF
WR Dontrelle Inman @CAR, $5,500
“SD has to win to have an outside shot at a wildcard berth and the Carolina secondary has given up plenty of points to opposing WRs. Inman has seen an average of 7 targets over his past 6 games and has TDs in back to back games.”
Bonus Pick: TE Lance Kendricks vs ATL, $4,800
“The Falcons are allowing the 5th most points to opposing TEs and Kendricks has been a consistent target in the passing game. While there is normally low-TD upside for Lance Kendricks in the Rams offense, having to play keep up with the Falcons should increase his opportunity.”
-Michael Wenrich, @mpw270
WR Taylor Gabriel @ LA, $5400
“The stars are aligning for another big game from Gabriel. This time it may not just be as a home-run threat but as a volume play. With Julio Jones battling turf toe and being evaluated day-to-day and the fact that Rams have already said their best CB will be shadowing Jones, Gabriel will get the lesser corners on a team that gives up the 11th most points to fantasy WR. The Falcons want to get him the ball, the Falcons may have to get him the ball often, and he can score any time he touches it.”
–Ryan Weisse, @TheFantasyFive
RB Rex Burkhead @CLE, $4,500
Most of the time you don’t find a lot of elite talent this far down the list and Burkhead is no exception. However, the opportunity is tremendous and he has been getting a steady workload since Gio went down, while averaging over 5 yards per carry. His 8 carries, 5 targets, and 4 receptions last week were all season highs and I expect all of them to increase again in Week 14. Jeremy Hill is not 100% healthy by a long shot and the opportunity for garbage time against the Browns could earn him some much needed R&R bench time, opening things up for Burkhead to have a big game.
