DFS WR vs CB Matchups to Monitor in Week 13
Oh, to get a call right in DFS….
Last week’s WR/CB matchup article highlighted Jarvis Landry as the cover boy and he went off for 10/148/2. D.J. Moore went bananas against New Orleans. Fading Amari Cooper and all the Rams paid off.
But I feel equally dumb when I showcased Mike Evans over Chris Godwin. Whoops.
I’ve broken up this week’s article into a couple of categories: Alpha WRs, Slot Mavens, Discount Target Specials, and Full-On Fades. The goal is to go from the top-tier stars to move down to bargain WRs with excellent matchups. As always, make sure you use the tools found in the DFS Pass such as the Value Comparison and Buzz Report to discern which WR would be best in cash and tournament lineup builds.
Alpha WRs
Davante Adams is set up to absolutely smash this week against the Giants. He has 24 more targets than any other Packer despite missing four games with an injury. This is PFF’s biggest matchup discrepancy for the week with CB Janoris Jenkins. He’s a gambler at this point in his career intercepting four passes but no match for Adams’ size and strength. The Giants have given up the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing WRs on the season. On DraftKings at $7,000, he’s mispriced given this matchup and his blowup potential.
