All year long I’ve highlighted WR/CB matchups to give an extra boost of confidence in your selections for DFS lineups. In the playoffs, our pool of potential players obviously is reduced and the matchups become that much more nuanced. While this is only a piece of the puzzle, this process allows you to better value ceiling-type plays for elite WRs and who can run circles around their opponent.

The goal is to go from the top-tier stars to move down to bargain WRs with excellent matchups. As always, make sure you use the tools found in the DFS Pass such as the Value Comparison and Buzz Report to discern which WR would be best in cash and tournament lineup builds.

Alpha WRs

Davante Adams vs. Jalen Ramsey
Exposure: Strong Tournament Play

I get it. You look at the league’s most dominant WR matching up against arguably the best corner in the league and the WR is the one who gets downgraded. This Rams defense allowing the lowest yards per attempt (6.2) as well as the fewest points per drive in the NFL. That’s scary but I want to give you some confidence in using Adams in tournaments. Adams is playing in the slot more than any other season in his career. The Packers are so smart for scheming mismatches especially in the red-zone, where Aaron Rodgers is a beast completing a league-high 73 percent of those passes. Betz pointed out that 40% of Adams’ TDs and receptions have come from the slot, where Ramsey only plays 11% of the time. In my opinion, he’s actually a value on FanDuel at $9,000.
