Team Totals: Packers (22.0), Titans (19.0)
The 6-3 Titans travel to Lambeau for a Thursday night game against the 4-6 Packers that should make 1990’s football fans extremely proud. Games featuring the Titans have hit the under in six straight games (D-Fence….D-Fence!), and we know both teams want to play slow and feature the run game.
These offenses haven’t been the most prolific in the league, with Green Bay 25th in points per game and Tennessee 26th in the same metric. Not surprisingly, the smart folks out in Vegas are aware of this – the total is sitting at a lowly 41 points, which could bring into play some lower scoring players, like kickers, on this slate.
Just to speak to what type of game we might get on Thursday, the Titans have punted on just over 50% of their possessions, 31st in the league, and they’re 32nd in yards per drive. As for Green Bay, they’ve also struggled to be efficient, but it is worth noting that the Pack have scored on just under 38% of their drives when playing at home vs. 19% when playing on the road. As we saw last week against Dallas, this offense is still capable of getting it done at home when things click.
