Week 8 showcased some big names who came through for your fantasy team.  These were the king sized candy bars of the week.  If you started these players, you were likely able to greet your opponent with a devilish grin.  You can listen in on the full Fantasy Stud Muffins discussion on the podcast.

Quarterbacks

Derek Carr @ TB
513 passing yards, 4 TDs, 13 rushing yards
Carr’s 500-yard performance was in part due to the penalties incurred by the Raiders offense, they had to march down the field twice for each score.  They also got a 5th quarter in this one.  Stud nonetheless.

Aaron Rodgers @ ATL
246 passing yards, 4 TDs, 60 rushing yards
No Cobb, no Montgomery, no problem.

Tom Brady @ BUF
315 passing yards, 4 TDs, 15 rushing yards
Tom Brady has no chill.

Dak Prescott vs PHI
287 passing yards, 2 TDs, INT, 38 rushing yards, rushing TD
He looked like a rookie QB at times, but his connection with Dez Bryant is going to be great for his fantasy numbers.

Matt Ryan vs GB
288 passing yards, 3 TDs
Matty Ice got it done without Tevin Coleman and with an injured Jacob Tamme and Julio Jones.

Carson Palmer @ CAR
363 passing yards, 3 TDs, INT
Palmer was a ghost for the first half against Carolina but really saved his fantasy day in garbage time.

Kirk Cousins @ CIN (London)
458 passing yards, 2 TDs, INT
Cousins was on his way to being the top passer on Sunday until the Raiders sent in the Carr.

Running Backs

Theo Riddick @ HOU
11 carries, 56 rushing yards, 8 receptions, 77 receiving yards, TD
Riddick is the lead back in Detroit.  Don’t let rumors of Washington or Zenner scare you.

Matt Forte @ CLE
25 carries, 82 rushing yards, 2 TDs, 2 receptions, 16 receiving yards
Monster workload again for Forte.

Jonathan Stewart vs AZ
25 carries, 95 rushing yards, 2 TDs, 1 reception, 25 receiving yards
No TD vulturing for Cam Newton in this one.

Devonta Freeman vs GB
11 carries, 35 rushing yards, TD, 4 receptions, 23 receiving yards, TD
With several Falcons on the sidelines, someone had to get it done on this offense.

DeMarco Murray vs JAX
-21 carries, 123 rushing yards, TD, 1 reception, 5 receiving yards
Murray left this game just before the half with a foot injury, he would return.  The MRI came back negative, but let this be a lesson for you Murray owners.  GO GET DERRICK HENRY!

Derrick Henry vs JAX
16 carries, 60 rushing yards, TD, 4 receptions, 37 receiving yards
Want to hear a scary story?  There once was a Murray owner who didn’t have Henry on his bench.  I know… it’s terrifying.

Wide Receivers

Amari Cooper @ TB
-12 receptions, 173 receiving yards, TD, 15 targets
AC/DC Live.

J.J. Nelson @ CAR
8 receptions, 79 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 12 targets
This dude is fast.  He also led Arizona WRs in snaps played.

Jamison Crowder @ CIN (London)
9 receptions, 107 receiving yards, TD, 13 targets
Despite being fun-sized, the second year WR got it done.  It was surprising to see him do so well in a game in which Reed and Davis were so involved, but I guess 458 passing yards will do that.

Dez Bryant vs PHI
4 receptions, 113 receiving yards, TD, 14 targets
Just 4 receptions on his 14 targets… gross, but Dez made them count.

Allen Hurns @ TEN
7 receptions, 98 receiving yards, TD, 11 targets
You can thank the garbage man for this one.

Tyreek Hill @ IND
5 receptions, 98 receiving yards, TD, 6 targets, 1 carry, 6 rushing yards
This kid is fun to watch. This offense didn’t miss a beat with Foles at QB.

Mohamed Sanu Sr. vs GB
9 receptions, 84 receiving yards, TD, 10 targets
The game script worked out perfectly for Sanu.

Jordan Matthews @ DAL
11 receptions, 65 receiving yards, TD, 14 targets
It was painful to watch Agholor and Green-Beckham in this game.  Matthews is becoming a secure option for Wentz.

Andrew Hawkins vs NYJ
5 receptions, 31 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 8 targets
Barnidge and Pryor owners shouldn’t be spooked by Hawkins, this is an aberration.

Tight Ends

Tyler Eifert vs WAS (London)
9 receptions, 102 receiving yards, TD, 12 targets
This is everything we thought Eifert could be this year and more.  The Bengals offense gets a huge bump up with a healthy Eifert in the lineup.

Jordan Reed @ CIN (London)
9 receptions, 99 receiving yards, TD, 13 targets
Fantasy football can be a lawless wasteland at times, but we do have one rule: Rule 86.

Travis Kelce @ IND
7 receptions, 101 receiving yards, TD, 10 targets
Is it just me, or are these TE numbers starting to remind anyone of 2015?

Rob Gronkowski @ BUF
5 receptions, 109 receiving yards, TD, 7 targets
In case you missed it, Gronk now has 69 career TDs…

Kickers/Defense/Special Teams

Will Lutz vs SEA
-4/4 FGs, 1 XP

Graham Gano vs AZ
-3/3 FGs, 3 XPs

Carolina Panthers D/ST vs AZ
-1 FR, Recovery TD, 8 Sacks, 1 INT
