Week 14 Fantasy Football Studs
Per Urban Dictionary, “Studs do not discriminate. Studs Dominate.” If you employed these players in your Week 14 matchups you indiscriminately dominated your opponents. Looking at you, Le’Veon Bell owners. These playoff heroes are the stuff of legend that your fantasy league will remember for years to come. As always, the Footballers revel in the Week 14 delights on the podcast.
Matt Ryan @ LA
-237 passing yards, 3 TDs
In a 42-14 beat down of the Rams (it wasn’t even that close), the Falcons didn’t need any more from their QB.
Aaron Rodgers vs SEA
–246 passing yards, 3 TDs
R-E-L-A-X. The #1 QB in fantasy football has you covered.
Ryan Tannehill vs AZ
-195 passing yards, 3 TDs, INT, 20 rushing yards
If this fantasy production from the Miami QB seems too good to last, you may be onto something. Tannehill will reportedly miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury.
Le’Veon Bell @ BUF
-38 carries, 236 rushing yards, 3 TDs, 4 receptions, 62 receiving yards
If you have Le’Veon Bell on your fantasy team and you lost… well… no… no, you didn’t. Congrats.
Bilal Powell @ SF
–29 carries, 145 rushing yards, 2 TDs, 5 receptions, 34 receiving yards
Somebody had to thrash the 49ers this week. When Forte couldn’t do it Powell stepped up to carry the torch.
Carlos Hyde vs NYJ
-17 carries, 193 rushing yards, 1 reception, 7 receiving yards, receiving TD
11.4 yards per carry on 17 carries. This is what it looks like when a defense quits. The Jets management needs to take a long look at this situation in the offseason. This is embarrassing.
Jeremy Hill @ CLE
-25 carries, 111 rushing yards, TD, 3 receptions, 31 receiving yards
If there was ever a perfect Jeremy Hill game, a matchup against a winless Cleveland team in the snow was it.
T.Y. Hilton vs HOU
-9 receptions, 115 receiving yards, TD, 13 targets
Jonathan Joseph missed this game for the Texans and Hilton took full advantage.
Emmanuel Sanders @ TEN
-11 receptions, 100 receiving yards, TD, 14 targets
I keep expecting Trevor Siemian to stunt the Broncos WRs, but they keep dragging him along.
Tyreek Hill vs OAK
-6 receptions, 66 receiving yards, TD, 78-yard punt return TD
Anyone else getting Dante Hall flashbacks?
Jordy Nelson vs SEA
–6 receptions, 41 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 7 targets
Jordy Nelson leads the NFL with 12 receiving TDs.
J.J. Nelson @ MIA
-1 reception, 8 receiving yards, TD, 2 targets, 1 carry, 56 rushing yards, TD
If you started J.J. Nelson in DFS you won the lottery… twice.
Davante Adams vs SEA
-4 receptions, 104 receiving yards, TD, 6 targets
It is rare that two receivers make this list from a team playing against the Seahawks. It just goes to show the value of Earl Thomas.
Tyler Eifert @ CLE
-5 receptions, 48 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 6 targets
With so many question marks at the TE position, it was good to see a “sure thing” come through for fantasy owners. This mimics the success Eifert had in 2015. Low volume, low yardage, large quantities of TDs.
Zach Ertz vs WAS
-10 receptions, 112 receiving yards, 13 targets
I want to believe in Ertz. The Eagles and Wentz certainly do.
Atlanta Falcons @ LA
–14 PA, 3 sacks, 3 fumb rec, 2 INTs, INT ret TD
Nick Novak @ IND
-5/5 FGs, 52-yard FG, 1/1 XP
Graham Gano vs SD
-4/4 FGs, 2/2 XPs
Ty Montgomery vs SEA
-9 carries 41 rushing yards, TD, 3 receptions, 45 receiving yards
Lamar Miller @ IND
-21 carries, 107 rushing yards, TD, 1 reception, 15 receiving yards
Tevin Coleman @ LA
-8 carries, 36 rushing yards, TD, 2 receptions, 19 receiving yards, TD
LeSean McCoy vs PIT
-12 carries, 27 rushing yards, TD, 6 receptions, 81 receiving yards
Latavius Murray @ KC
-22 carries, 103 rushing yards, TD
DeSean Jackson @ PHI
-3 receptions, 102 receiving yards, TD, 4 targets
Demaryius Thomas @ TEN
-10 receptions, 126 receiving yards, 16 targets
Odell Beckham Jr. vs DAL
-4 receptions, 94 receiving yards, TD, 9 targets
Kyle Rudolph @ JAX
–4 receptions, 60 receiving yards, TD, 8 targets
Travis Kelce vs OAK
-5 receptions, 101 receiving yards, 8 targets, 1 taunting the punter
