Week 3 was quite the adventure. All in all, outside of a notable example, it was a pretty normal weekend. The outlier, of course, was the Titans–Giants game, which featured continuous heavy rain and winds up to 40 mph! Thankfully, the impacts during the game were very easy to see coming and called out in this very article (hey, weather guys have to celebrate wins when we get them!).

What does the week ahead have in store for us? Find out below, dear reader!

It’s football time, baby!

Sunday Morning Game (London Game)

Indianapolis Colts @ Washington Commanders

LOW impact. It will be a very nice day in London for the game. Mostly clear skies, light winds, and temperatures in the low-70s. No weather issues; start your usual players.

Sunday Early Afternoon Games

New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills

LOW impact. Partly cloudy skies, temperatures in the high 60s, with light winds. You could not ask for better conditions in Buffalo; therefore, here’s the “GOOD WEATHER GAME OF THE WEEK” award. Enjoy it, Buffalo!

LOW impact. All in all, it will not be a bad day in Chicago. There will be some intermittent wind gusts up to the 15mph range, but I do not think they will be persistent enough to cause impacts to the game. Outside of the wind, no issues with sunny skies and temperatures in the low 70s.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Cincinnati Bengals

LOW impact. No impacts to be seen here. Sunny skies, high temperatures in the mid-70s, and light winds. I am glad there are no issues here, since this game should be a lot of fun.

Arizona Cardinals @ New York Giants

MEDIUM impact. We’ve got a 40% chance of rain around the area. The good news is that it looks pretty light, and the winds will also be light. So, do not expect a repeat of last week! I don’t think you should bench anyone that you would normally start in this game, but temper some expectations for deep passes.

Los Angeles Rams @ Philadelphia Eagles

MEDIUM impact. There will likely be some rain during game time. Looks to be fairly light though, and intermittent (so the rain will start and stop fairly frequently). The winds will be light, so I think the players will be able to mitigate most of the rain issues. Ball security may be an issue for everyone.

Green Bay Packers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

MEDIUM impact. A hot and muggy day is in store for Sunday in Tampa. The heat index (combination of temperature and humidity) will be in the low 100s. As we have seen, that can impact players and lead to increased time sharing between position players. Also, these types of conditions are ripe for rain showers and thunderstorms. Maybe we will get our second thunderstorm delay of the season in Tampa. All that being said, I would not bench anyone you would normally play unless you have a solid alternative.

Tennessee Titans @ Baltimore Ravens

MEDIUM impact. Another soggy East Coast game expected in Baltimore. Persistent, but not heavy, rain is expected throughout the game. Winds won’t be much of a factor, and temperatures will be in the mid-60s. Buckle up, Derrick Henry owners; this game will be a good one for the King.

Sunday Late Afternoon Games

Denver Broncos @ San Francisco 49ers

MEDIUM impact. It will be another nice day in Santa Clara. A little unseasonably warm, with temperatures hitting the mid-90s. Those temperatures will likely cause some increased personnel swaps on both teams. No issues with rain or wind. I wouldn’t let the higher temperatures impact your lineup choices.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Seattle Seahawks

LOW impact. Mostly sunny skies, temperatures in the low-70s, and light winds. Could not ask for a more beautiful Sunday in Seattle. Start all your studs.

Sunday Night Game

Detroit Lions @ Carolina Panthers

MEDIUM impact. Expect persistent rain throughout the game. The good news is that it looks fairly light, and there are no strong winds to accompany the rain. It won’t be perfectly conducive conditions for fantasy scoring, but with all the weapons in this game, I do not think you can bench any of them for some rain.

Best of luck to your team in the week ahead!
