I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving week surrounded by family, football, and of course, fantasy football. Now it’s time to turn the page and focus on the second byepocalypse of the season! This week the Ravens, Raiders, Bills, Bears, Vikings, and Giants are on bye. We’ll be missing many key fantasy pieces, including three or four important starting QBs, a couple of elite kickers, and at least two of the league’s best defenses.

But don’t panic. This is when streaming becomes a very useful fantasy tool and this article will try to help you get through Week 13 with some streaming options for your QB, K, and D/ST positions. As always, if you need help finding backups for other roster spots, I encourage you to download the Fantasy Footballers App for iOS or Android, where you’ll find Andy, Mike, and Jason’s weekly rankings and the handy-dandy Start/Sit Tool

Let’s get into it!

Quarterbacks

Russell WilsonDenver Broncos (51% rostered)

The Broncos have been able to somehow turn their season around and now are on a five-game winning streak. Russell Wilson has not been perfect, but he’s managed to make some good plays and even use his legs to score a rushing touchdown this past Sunday. This week he’ll face the Houston Texans, who have been really fun to watch because they’re constantly playing in shootouts. Last week they allowed Trevor Lawrence to pass for a season-high 360 yards. If you need a streaming QB for this byepocalypse, Russ might be this week’s most trustworthy streamer.

Gardner MinshewIndianapolis Colts (20% rostered)

Last week Gardner Minshew once again threw an interception, but at least he was able to reach the 250-yard mark, something he hadn’t done since Week 7. His chemistry with Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs helped him take advantage of a positive matchup against the Buccaneers and he’ll get another chance to do so in Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans, who have allowed 19.1 fantasy points on average to the position during the past four weeks.

Brock PurdySan Francisco 49ers (84% rostered)

He might be available enough to be considered a streamer, but given his rest-of-season schedule, Brock Purdy shouldn’t be available at all. This week he has one of the best matchups for streaming QBs. The 49ers will visit the 10-1 Philadelphia Eagles, who have been winning almost every game but at the same time have allowed more completions than any other team. Even middle-of-the-pack quarterbacks like Mac Jones have had solid fantasy outings against the Eagles and so far they have allowed five top-2 QB finishes. If Brock Purdy is available in your league, pick him up and play him.

Week QB playing against PHI Completions Top-2 Weekly Finish
1 Mac Jones 35 #2
2 Kirk Cousins 31 #2
8 Sam Howell 39 #1
9 Dak Prescott 29 #2
12 Josh Allen 29 #1

This one’s for the bold and the desperate. Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers will play the Kansas City Chiefs, who have been one of the best defenses during the season, but they haven’t been as good at stopping the passing game recently. Last week they even allowed Aidan O’Connell to pass for almost 250 yards. On the other hand, Jordan Love has been improving massively over the past few weeks, taking his completion percentage to a more than decent 68.8%. With so many QBs on bye this week, Love might be a savior for some fantasy managers.

Kickers

Jason SandersMiami Dolphins (47% rostered)

The Dolphins’ kicker has not been perfect this season. But even with his occasional mistakes, he has been getting enough kicking opportunities to be a good fantasy asset, especially in recent weeks. After attempting only three field goals between Weeks 3 to 9, Jason Sanders has had five FG opportunities during the past two weeks and missed only one. The Dolphins will be heavy favorites against the Washington Commanders in what projects to be this week’s highest-scoring game. Jason Sanders is once again a green light for me.

Jake MoodySan Francisco 49ers (30% rostered)

The third-round rookie hasn’t missed a kick since Week 7 and is still widely available. He should get plenty of opportunities this week in a high-powered offensive standoff against the Philadelphia Eagles. The over/under line for this game is 46 and the Niners are road favorites by 1.5. I expect both teams to require their kickers’ services constantly in this exciting matchup and I wouldn’t be surprised if it hits the over.

Brandon McManusJacksonville Jaguars (44% rostered)

The Jaguars’ offense is on fire right now and Brandon McManus is reaping the benefits. He missed one of his four field-goal attempts last week and still finished with 13 fantasy points. In Week 13 he should continue getting a lot of work against the Cincinnati Bengals in a game where the Jaguars will try to stay in the flames as heavy home favorites.

Cameron DickerLos Angeles Chargers (50% rostered)

The Chargers’ offense couldn’t do much against the stout Ravens’ defense last week. This resulted in a poor fantasy finish by Cameron Dicker, but he once again delivered on what was asked of him. Throughout 11 games, he has only missed one of 48 kicks. He and the Chargers offense as a whole should bounce back this week against the New England Patriots. Vegas projects only 41 points in this game but the Chargers are expected to score the vast majority of them.

Defense & Special Teams

Atlanta Falcons (12% rostered)

The Falcons’ defense played a brilliant game against the Saints last week, getting one sack, two turnovers, and a pick-six. This Sunday they’ll play the week’s easiest matchup against the New York Jets, who weren’t able to move the ball offensively at all last week against the Dolphins. Robert Saleh already announced Tim Boyle will be the starter once again, which makes the Falcons’ D/ST an upside-streaming play.

New York Jets (65% rostered)

On the other side of the ball, you can also start the New York Jets confidently against Desmond Ridder. Last week the Saints intercepted him twice and I’m sure Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed are savoring this juicy matchup against the Falcons.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (19% rostered)

The Bucs’ D/ST has been a trustworthy streamer in favorable matchups this season. They’re coming off two tough games against San Francisco and Indianapolis, but this week they have one of the most desirable matchups against the Carolina Panthers, who just fired their head coach and have allowed 15.2 fantasy points per game to the position over the past four weeks.

Jacksonville Jaguars (30% rostered)

The Bengals’ offensive line has allowed the fifth most sacks during the past four weeks. On Sunday, Jake Browning got sacked four times by the Steelers and now it’s the Jaguars’ turn to take advantage of the inexperienced QB’s learning curve. Jacksonville’s defense & special teams have scored at least seven fantasy points in all but one of their home games. They should be more than fine this week.
