Set to rejoin Commanders

Ekeler is expected to sign with the Commanders, pending a physical, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Ekeler's 2025 campaign was cut short by a torn Achilles sustained a little over a year ago, but he was cleared to participate in football activities in April. As long as he checks out fine during his physical, Ekeler looks as though he'll be signed to the 53-man roster. The 31-year-old spent the previous two seasons in Washington and will likely handle a complementary role out of the backfield.
