Injuries and players missing time for other reasons are always a big deal in fantasy football but even more so in DFS where one player’s issues can completely alter an entire game and the next man up mantra becomes vital due to the salary cap nature of DFS. Thus, it’s important to stay on top of all the injury and suspension news before locking in your DFS lineups.
Here are the most relevant players on the main slate in danger of missing time or returning to action on Wild Card Weekend:
Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans – Saturday 4:35pm ET
OUT for the Colts: Jack Doyle
Upgrade: Eric Ebron
No Jack Doyle continues to mean Eric Ebron is the man at TE for the Colts. Ebron benefits from playing in the best fantasy game of the weekend against a Texans defense that ranks 28th in passing yards allowed per game, 18th in Pass DVOA, and 23rd in DVOA against TEs. Seemingly healthy now, Ebron is a solid play as he ranks tied for second in the league in receiving TDs (13).
OUT for the Colts: Ryan Grant
Questionable for the Colts: T.Y. Hilton, Dontrelle Inman, and Zach Pascal
Upgrade: T.Y. Hilton, Dontrelle Inman, Chester Rogers, and Zach Pascal
Andrew Luck‘s pass-catchers are kind of a mess right now but all are trending in the direction of playing except for Ryan Grant, who has already been ruled out. Here are the snap percentages for all remaining pass-catchers over the past two weeks: T.Y. Hilton 87% and 80%, Dontrelle Inman 58% and 62%, Chester Rogers 69% and 58%, and Zach Pascal 52% and 54% . Total targets: T.Y. Hilton 14, Dontrelle Inman 11, Chester Rogers 11, and Zach Pascal 7. All are absolutely in play in the best fantasy game of the weekend against a Texans defense that ranks 28th in passing yards allowed per game and 18th in Pass DVOA. T.Y. Hilton is one of my favorite plays of the week as he ranks tied for 15th in the league in targets per game. Chester Rogers and Zach Pascal are intriguing tournament pivots off of Dontrelle Inman.
