Week 9 DFS Vegas Report
Los Angeles Rams @ New Orleans Saints -1.5 (59.5)
Soon we will see a total of 60 and it may just be this game by the time kick off happens Sunday afternoon. The total opened up at 59 and has moved up slightly. Nonetheless, it’s the highest of the season. The New Orleans Saints’ 33.4 points per game rank second and the Los Angeles Rams’ 33 points per game rank third. There’s no doubt the Rams are the more complete team. They have allowed the eighth-fewest yards per game, 10th-fewest passing yards per game and the sixth-fewest points per game. Football Outsiders has their pass DVOA defense as the sixth-best in the league. That’s not to say Drew Brees won’t be able to put up points in this game. His defense will force him to do so. The Saints have allowed the 10th-most yards per game, fifth-most passing yards per game, and the 10th-most points per game. From a fantasy perspective, NO has surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points per game to QBs and the most to WR’s. Football Outsiders has them as the sixth-worst defense in the league, fourth-worst against the pass, but second best against the run. That’s right, the Saints are allowing a league-low 74 rushing yards per game. Even if Todd Gurley struggles on the ground, he’ll be involved through the air. Absolutely everyone is in play here including Cooper Kupp in tournaments, who is expected to return.
