Baker Mayfield at Oakland $5,300
Mayfield was one of the best prospects at the QB position we’ve ever seen, especially when it came to accuracy. We saw that vital trait show up in his first regular season NFL action last week when he completed 73.9% of his passes for 201 yards. Especially at the affordable price of only $5,300, Mayfield’s first start couldn’t be much more favorable against a Raiders’ defense that ranked 26th in passing yards allowed and 30th in Pass DVOA in 2017. They have struggled through three weeks this year as well as they rank 31st in Pass DVOA.
Drew Brees at New York Giants $6,600
Brees will go down as one of the best football players of all time and he’s not slowing down just yet. Brees ranked fourth in passing yards last season and currently ranks third in that same category through three weeks in 2018. He now gets to play in another favorable fantasy game with an Over/Under of 50 points against a Giants’ defense that ranked 31st in passing yards allowed and 19th in Pass DVOA in 2017. They haven’t shown signs of improvement this year as their Pass DVOA currently ranks 24th.
