Washington visits the Vikings to kick off Week 8. I’ll be bringing this Thursday night preview each week breaking down this single-game slate for DraftKings contests as part of the Footballers’ DFS Pass.

The 5-2 Vikings are rolling and get to play at home against a struggling 1-6 Washington squad. Minnesota’s offense ranks sixth in the league in both points per game and yards per game. Meanwhile, Washington’s anemic offense ranks 30th in points per game and 29th in yards per game.

Things look very similar on the defensive side of the ball as well. The Vikings rank sixth in both points per game and yards per game allowed whereas Washington ranks 20th in points per game and 21st in yards per game allowed.

These factors help explain why the Vikings are 15.5 point home favorites. Our process should push us towards Vikings’ skill position players, their Defense, and their Kicker.

Captain Spot Choices

Dalvin Cook $19,500
Cook ranks sixth in the league in opportunities per game (23) and second in total yards per game (135). He’s a 15.5 point home favorite against a Washington defense that ranks 18th in Run DVOA, 20th in points per game allowed, and 21st in yards per game allowed. This matchup is tailor-made for him.
