Thursday Night DraftKings Showdown: Week 2
This Thursday night the Cincinnati Bengals travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns in the Battle of Ohio and a matchup between two former #1 overall draft picks and Heisman Trophy winners in Joe Burrow and Baker Mayfield. With both teams coming off a loss in Week 1 and a divisional game at stake, this is an important matchup for both teams with something to prove. The Browns are 6-point home favorites in this contest with the over/under set at 44. Some sportsbooks have the line set at 43.5, suggesting early money is coming in on the under in this Thursday night matchup, and maybe for good reason. The Browns have hit the under in seven straight primetime matchups.

Captain Spot Choices
Cleveland Browns D/ST $6,000
The Browns defense got obliterated in Week 1 by Lamar Jackson and company, so why are they an intriguing captain spot choice in this matchup? Playing the Browns’ defense not only allows us to save a ton of salary and play other high profile guys in our lineup, but it also provides us an opportunity for sacks and potentially turnovers. Only three more offensive lines allowed more pressure on their QB than the Bengals in Week 1, and if there’s an area of strength on this Cleveland defense, it’s in the trenches with Myles Garrett and company. The Browns D/ST is a contrarian captain spot choice and correlates well with Nick Chubb given that the Browns are favored by a touchdown in this one.
