NFL DFS FanDuel Picks for Divisional Round (Fantasy Football)
With just four games on our divisional slate, minimizing the player pool becomes even more important for cash. For tournaments, almost everyone is in play. Sorry. You can close your eyes and envision any of these eight teams winning this week. The key is finding leverage spots and unique lineup constructions that go overweight on certain games.
Betz and I preview the entire slate and walk through each game from a stacking perspective on Friday’s DFS Podcast.
I know it sounds silly but floor-wise, I can’t imagine using anyone else other than these two this week. When you mix the highest over/under with their insane floors, both QBs in the same game project as the best points per dollar plays by a mile.
- Josh Allen ($8800)– You saw what he did last week. Magnificent. In fact, it was near perfection. But what Allen unlocks in the playoffs is his rushing upside. Over his last six games, he has over 400 rushing yards and the Chiefs are allowing the highest pass success rate and highest EPA per pass attempt among remaining playoff teams. The KC defense is allowing the most yards per play, most points per drive, and highest early down success rate among playoff teams. I’ve taken an early stance on the Bills moneyline so of course, I’m going to be all-in on Allen.
- Patrick Mahomes ($8500)– On the other side of the ball, it’s hard not believing in Mahomes at home in the playoffs, where he’s never lost. Last year against BUF in the AFC Title game, the Chiefs won 38-24 in the AFC Championship game thanks to 325 & 3 from Mahomes while he completed 76 percent of his passes. The Bills pass defense metrics aren’t encouraging but with KC sporting the highest EPA per pass attempt, you can lean into their 28+ point team implied total.
