This article highlights plays with substantial upside for large-field GPPs. That doesn’t mean playing only these players and excluding the cash game plays. In fact, many top tournament lineups blend high-rostered anchors with lower-rostered leverage plays. Here are Betz’s Week 10 cash plays to use alongside our GPP plays here.

Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson @ MIN | $6,800
Let me get this straight:

  • Game total: 48.5 (4th)
  • Team implied total: 26 (4th)
  • $6,800 price tag

And pOwn is barely 10% as of Friday? Lamar is in a smash spot, and the tug-of-war between him and Josh Allen as QB plays this week is intriguing. One thing I’ve noticed this year is that the field gets hooked by a significant stat. For example, Josh Allen kills the Dolphins (14 – 2 career record, averaging over three TDs per game). That tidbit naturally boosts ownership as the field assesses the matchup. We’re not hearing anything like that about Lamar. The Vikings have the highest pressure rate this week, putting pressure on opposing QBs 48.3% of the time. But Lamar thrives in pressure and can turn that aggressive mindset into chunk plays. He averages the most yards per attempt (9.63) against pressure in the league. 

Baker Mayfield vs NE | $6,200
Baker heads up for some Clam Chowder against the Zone-loving Patriots, who run it 71% of the time. Mayfield is substantially better against zone defenses than he is against man coverage, ranking 3rd in passer rating (105.7) and throwing nine of his 13 TDs against it. His legs are also producing, with an excellent 17 Rush/EPA, but he hasn’t yet recorded a rushing score. Another 48+ point environment around 5% is a solid addition to a player pool.
