Locked-In Cash Plays
Borg – Ashton Jeanty hasn’t been part of our conversation for most of the year but here we are in Week 17! He is my RB1 adjusted for salary against a Giants rush defense that might be the worst in the NFL. They rank 31st in rushing yards per game allowed and 32nd in explosive rush rate allowed.
Betz – The Bengals should roll here, and because we have some great value options at TE and WR, it’s not too difficult to fit Ja’Marr Chase on both sites. Over the last month, he’s seen 33% target share and now gets a Cardinals defense that’s already booking their trips to Cabo in two weeks. The Bengals’ 30.5 implied team total is easily the highest on the slate.
DraftKings Core Plays
These are the 3-5 players at each position we have mixed in our cash player pool. Based on salaries, late news, and budget constraints, it is guaranteed you will not be able to fit in all of them. But their high floors and team-implied totals make them great plays for the week in both cash & GPPs.
These are simply in order of favorite core players. You obviously won’t be able to fit all in a cash lineup and there are salary tradeoffs for paying up at each position.
| DraftKings-QB | BORG | BETZ |
| 1 | Trevor Lawrence | Trevor Lawrence |
| 2 | Joe Burrow | Joe Burrow |
| 3 | Jacoby Brissett | Jacoby Brissett |
| 4 | Drake Maye | Drake Maye |
| 5 | Tyler Shough | Baker Mayfield |
We only have a nine game main slate, so there’s not a ton of amazing QB options, We’ve got backup QBs everywhere, and there’s tons of teams on the slate without much motivation to win. Expect to see roster percentage condense on Maye, Lawrence, Burrow, and Jacoby in both cash games and GPPs. Those options are all strong for cash games, and given that they all have nice matchups, we don’t mind playing them in GPPs, but if you do, just be aware that these QBs and their stacking partners will be quite popular. You’ll have to get some low rostered pieces elsewhere in your lineup.
