DFS FanDuel Cash Picks: Week 17 (Fantasy Football)

Each week, I’ll highlight my favorite cash game picks that I have some confidence in heading into the weekend to put into my player pools.

On the Fantasy Footballers DFS & Betting Podcast, Borg & Betz dive into a couple of these, but this article is intended for DFS Pass subscribers to get the full lay of the land. With the holidays, we have a much smaller main slate this week – we are looking at only nine games.

Quarterbacks

Drake Maye @NYJ – $8400
He is expensive, but if you are looking to pay up this week in cash, MVP hopeful Drake Maye is a great option. He showed what he had in the team’s big win over Baltimore in Week 16, finishing with 380 yards passing and two TDs, not to mention 25 yards on the ground. Now he gets the New York Jets defense, who, over the past four weeks, have been giving up the 7th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. The Patriots can smell the one seed in the AFC, and that, coupled with Maye’s MVP campaign, should push the team to highlight him offensively. His rushing ability continues to add to his fantasy floor – he is averaging over six attempts a game and has four rushing TDs in the season. The team has a 28-point team implied total (the 2nd-highest on the main slate), and even though they are heavily favored and might not need tons from Maye, I think he stands a good chance to pay off his salary.
