Aaron Rodgers $8,400
Many will shy away here thanks to the Rams’ fifth-ranked defense in DVOA and third-ranked pass DVOA. They’re a great defense, no doubt. But Aaron Rodgers has been mind-numbingly sensational this year and I’ll bet on him to win this matchup one hundred times out of one hundred. Rodgers led the Packers offense to a first-ranked offensive DVOA ranking during the regular season, ranking first in pass TDs per game (2.93), first in ANY/A (8.7), third in completion percentage (70.3), third in yards per attempt (8.1), first in TD% (8.8), and fourth in INT% (1). The name of the game in tournaments is rostering studs at low ownership percentages, not overthinking it. And rostering Rodgers is all about essentially rostering Patrick Mahomes, just at a much lower ownership percentage.
