GPP: Antonio Brown vs. Jacksonville
Antonio Brown is surprisingly practicing in full and looks like he will have very few limitations this weekend. That’s very intriguing because it’s not every day you get to roster the best WR in football at a somewhat low ownership percentage, especially in a four-game slate. But due to the matchup and fears regarding his injury, I suspect that is going to be the case this weekend. Yes, the Jaguars pass defense is great. And Antonio Brown has a tough matchup. But let’s remember that Brown is great as well, which means the Jaguars pass defense has a very tough matchup in their own right. Let’s look at it through that lens for just a second. Plus, Brown already ripped through this same secondary back in Week 5, catching 10 passes for 157 receiving yards on NINETEEN TOTAL TARGETS! Well, that’s ridiculous you say. There’s no way Brown will see that kind of volume again this time around you say. Well, I’d love to let you know that Brown saw double-digit targets in 11 out of 13 healthy games this season. And he leads all pass catchers playing this weekend in targets per game with 11.64. Michael Thomas ranks second with 9.31. Yes, Brown has a 2.33 advantage in targets per game on the next closest pass catcher this weekend and that includes the Patriots game where he got injured. Make sure you have some exposure.
