Game Outlook
Now, this is the Thursday Night Football experience we’ve come to love over the year. This AFC North showdown between Pittsburgh and Cleveland features the lowest game total in Week 4 with the oddsmakers making this total just 38.5 and the Steelers favored by less than a TD as of this writing. If recent history means anything, the folks out in Vegas might be onto something. The average O/U for PIT/CLE games over the last five years is 38.8, and last year, these games produced just 32 and 19 total points. Another interesting note here in the “something’s gotta give” category: The Browns are 7-0 in Thursday games since 2018, which is the longest active Thursday winning streak in the NFL. On the other side, Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy has also won seven consecutive TNF games dating back to his Cowboys tenure. We may not have many points in this one, but there is a lot on the line with both clubs sitting at 2-1. The winner of this contest will enter Sunday’s slate atop the AFC North standings.
