Week 7 QB Streamers
The Fantasy Footballers are back with your Week 7 edition of Full Stream Ahead. This article will provide you with 4 QBs who are available in at least 40% of leagues who we believe can deliver starter-worthy numbers. Our goal is 250 passing yards and 2 TDs or an equivalent (roughly 20 fantasy points). You can check out the discussion of the QB streamers, as well as a full waiver wire breakdown for Week 7 on the podcast.
Alex Smith vs NO (ESPN 37%, Yahoo 28%)
Admittedly not Jason’s first choice (he would rather start Winston or Mariota), but Alex Smith is in a perfect situation for Week 7. Smith gets a matchup with the New Orleans Saints in Kansas City. While the rushing attack for the Chiefs is potent, it should provide plenty of scoring opportunities for Alex Smith and the passing attack. If they can’t get it done against the Saints secondary, it just isn’t going to happen.

Jameis Winston @ SF (ESPN 51.6%, Yahoo 70%)
Here it is ladies and gentlemen, the portion of the schedule Winston owners/watchers have been waiting for. In the next 3 weeks, Winston gets San Francisco, Oakland, and Atlanta. So not only does Winston provide a value this week, but you can be comfortable spending a waiver priority or FAAB on him because you can use him going forward. This week specifically is a juicy spot for Winston as the Niners have given up at least 2 passing TDs each week for the last month.

Marcus Mariota vs IND (ESPN 41.1%, Yahoo 61%)
Don’t look now but on the heels of 39 and 38 point performances in the last two weeks, Mariota is the QB#8 in fantasy football. This string of success should continue this week against the Colts’ secondary (more like tertiary, am I right?). While Vontae Davis is a good cover corner, it is unlikely that he will be able to suppress Mariota this week as the Titans passing attack does not rely on a #1 WR. Additionally, Mariota doesn’t entirely rely on passing to score fantasy points. Mariota has at least 60 rushing yards in two straight weeks, giving owners a safe floor.

Joe Flacco @ NYJ (ESPN 34.1%, Yahoo 29%)
The Jets corners, Darrelle Revis and Buster Skrine, have been part of a complete balanced breakfast for Quarterbacks this season. (Get it? Toast. No? I’ll see myself out.) The Jets have given up 8 pass plays of over 40 yards, good for second most in the league. They are also surrendering the 6th most fantasy points to QBs and a passer rating of 114.7 which is 2nd best. New offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and Joe Flacco have promised more downfield passes and have actually averaged more yards per completion on the road this season than at home.
